Has anyone stayed at a moderate with a baby? I'm trying to decide where to stay next time when we take our newest daughter with us for her first trip. She'll be 5 months, and I'm worried about sleeping arrangements and space issues.

We have stayed at POR twice now, but my two DD's weren't babies.

When my DS was 22 months old, we stayed at ASMovies (which is less room than the moderates, but not by much). It was DH, myself, DD8, DD5 and my toddler son in a crib.

We made out ok. You would have one less person than we did, right?? So you should be fine.

Now that my children are almost 12, 9 and 5, we really like the two bedroom, two bathroom condos. But I'm assuming you want to be onsite. The deluxes have more square footage, but the sleeping arrangements would be the same.

If you were interested in a deluxe, WL wouldn't be as pricey as the others. And if you could get a bunkbed room, it would give more space in the room for the crib. But ofcourse, they can't guarantee the bunks...........sorry for being all over the place......I'm just thinking out loud. :teeth:

We LOVED POR, but I think we could be happy with any of the moderates as far as theme goes.

Have fun planning..............:sunny:

Thanks. I actually inquired about WL, but it's booked except concierge for our timeframe, though that isn't in stone. We will be 4 going, me, dh and baby DD and our oldest DD, almost 7.

We meaning DH and I recently stayed at the Coronado Springs this past August with our DD(6) and DS(8months) and had no problems at all. Matter of fact we had two double beds. We just had mousekeeping bring us a pack and play and it easily fits in a couple of the nooks in the room, out of the way of walking space. We also had our stroller which is a big stroller and we folded it up and placed it by the sink. Everything we thought that would be in the way was not. The only thing we kept tripping over were our shoes that we would kick off and leave in the middle of the floor, which was the grown ups fault. Other than that we had plenty of space.

I stayed at a Deluxe(Swan and Dolphin) and the value resorts (ASMO) with my then 2 year old. My DH and I both agreed staying where there is boat or monorail service is without a doubt the best way to go. It gets very old packing up that huge stroller every time you get on the bus. On the boats and monorail you just push the stroller on. So much more convenient.
Either way, you'll have fun.

Rumor has it that CBR has the most space of all the moderates. We are staying there in december with our three children DD 9, DS 7 and DS 10 months. Just a thought..hope this helps!

To get around the space and price issue - DH, DS (23m) and myself are getting 2 rooms as the AS Music resort. This will give us 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs about 500 sq feet and a door between so when DS is napping, someone can do something in the other room. First time trying this but seemed like a pretty good deal for $110 a night (AP rate).
