Moderate Room instead of DVC

I am going to focus on the good at POR. We are going to have a wonderful time in Disney, walk the lush grounds, enjoy the pool and hopefully it will be relaxed. I will set on benches and pretend it is my own patio. The pool will be good for the little one.

The bar sounds fun! I hope we can bring a child into the bar?

For the bed, little one falls asleep with me and then I move to own bed so it will be ok. There may not be a move.

It is free dining, MNSSHP and we are going to Disney!

As far as going to see/hear/enjoy Bob Jackson, until 10 there are plenty of children. I understand that after that things are less hectic. We've never been "up" to staying past 10, but I heard that it's a more adult audience after the break.
We're staying at Pop and don't have free dining, this wasn't a "planned out well" vacation...just thought about it last week.

Also, if you have a fisherperson, don't forget the fun at the ole fishing hole!

You are so right! I was younger once, the beds didn't matter to me then as long as I had a place to lay my head. I remember once, driving all night to Miami Beach (we had been to the Magic Kingdom all day) to get to a 5 star hotel, of course our room was not ready, we laid on the hotel lobby floor...guess what... they found us a room! I laugh about it now, I can just see me telling the kids to find a sofa in the 5 star lobby. Have a wonderful trip!:goodvibes

My kids and I usually travel with my parents to WDW. We will either do 2 studios SUN-THURS nights or share points for a 2 bdroom during those nights. But -- since the points are so high for Friday and Saturday nights, we usually do those nights at POR and split the cost of a room with a trundle bed. We can fit 5 of us in there. We love the atmosphere there as well! Granted, the space is not what you get in the DVC studios - but we are not in there long enough to worry about that too much. We enjoy the food court as well! We even got a "bounce back" offer when we were there in May for our December vacation and was able to snag a price of around $100/night there -making our individual cost only about $50/night! SWEET!!!:goodvibes

Love Piano Bob. We try and see his show every time we are at WDW. We used to stay exclusively at POR but when we purchased DVC in Sept 2005 the larger accommodations for our family of 6 sold us. POR will always hold a special place in our hearts but it would be hard to stay there again.
