Ok,
So we decided to go to Disney for the week of the fourth of July. We had previously stayed at the CBR which was absolutely beautiful, but my DH wants to stay somewhere different. I have heard so many things about the other three, both good and bad, that I really have no clue where we should stay. Any suggestions or experiences (good and bad) you can share will be greatly appreciated.

I always know I can come here to get the info I need, thanks everybody in advance.

CSR is a great resort and very similar to CBR. Check out my CSR website below

I personally love CSR. It is a very pretty resort with beautiful pool area if your not hitting the parks full steam. Restaurant is also different and has more variety, plus there's room service and spa services as well. The resort is pretty convenient to 3 of the 4 parks. Now, if you weren't happy with the walks at CBR then you won't like CSR.

If you have younger children, you may want to consider POFQ for that something different. The resort is smaller, recently refurbished and is very cute. You will have to walk to PORS should you decide to eat in a sitdown restaurant but whatever you do don't miss Bob Jackson's show at PORS. You have a great time no matter where you end up.

Coronado Springs is absolutely beautiful!! The pool area and the Pepper Market foodcourt are both fantastic!!

POFQ is the place to stay, we stayed there last year and we loved it. It's smaller and very nice. The pool area is really neat. If you have smaller kids, it's really nice because no matter where your room is, you're not too far away from the main area where the food court, gift shop and guest relations are. Also, my family loved the boat rides to DTD and POR. POR is also close if you want to walk over. It's a nice walk. Anyway, POFQ gets my vote. It's Disney though, I'm sure they are all pretty wonderful. -- Renee :flower:

Try Coronado it is a large resort but the layout is amazing and the pool area is second to none other than maybe Storm Along Bay at the Yacht and Beach club. The food is awesome to you can't go wrong staying there.

We love POR, it's relaxing you can legally pool hop to POFQ, catch a boat to DTD, Bob Jackson the piano man in the River Roost lounge is fun for the whole family, Boatwrights has the best breakfasts I've had, the atmosphere is laid back southern comfort (so nice to come back to after a day at the park).

Another vote for POR! We stayed there several times when the kids were small and loved the atmosphere and food court. We are DVC members now but still occasionally stay there and often go to the food court for breakfast or lunch. We are staying there a few nights in May to fill in nights not available at DVC. :)

We stayed at CSR and loved it.........it's sooo pretty, and so much to do. We also stayed at POR.......it was nice, we just liked CSR better.

which resort did your sons like better and what are there ages. we are dealing with the same question/problem. we have stayed at CBR and loved it but it was without our 2 crazy aged 3 and 5 yr old sons. we looked into POR but a relative of mine keeps saying CSR!!

WE love CSR! We have stayed there the last 2 trips and plan to stay there again in May 2006. If you like CBR you will like CSR!

For you CSR veterans...do you think it's a good resort for a 3 year old? I was considering CSR for when I take my DD again, she'll be 3 and it will be just the two of us. I love the look of POFQ and the fact that it's smaller, but CSR appears to have a great playground/pool area, and we do take long afternoon breaks so that seems to be a great feature for us. However, the overall look of CSR just seems kind of adult to me. I doubt we would use the food court much, if at all. So, if we do choose CSR should I request a room near the pool area? Do young children even like it there? TIA

POFQ is the place to go. Easy walk to everything - pool, food court, bus stop. First on and first off of the bus. Quiet. Nice pool with good slide. We are going back in July!

POFQ is our favorite moderate. We just stayed there again in March. The recent updates made everything fresher, cleaner and even more comfy than before. The beds are great. The resort is very cozy and easy to find your way around and we did not find that to be true at some of the other resorts. We loved the food court and the decor. Good luck! :earsgirl:

This will be our first time going, but my brother and his family are florida residents and they recomended por. they have probably been to all of them and por is their favorite. :cool1:

We stayed at CSR with our four year old son, and at POR when he was 6. He loved the pool and playground at CSR, with the big pyramid and the sandbox inside one of the totems. It's big, so lots of room to run, and you can rent watercraft and surrey bikes. POR had a nice pool, but it seemed more crowded..............at CSR we were there in June, and at POR in April...............they had the bikes too, and fishing, but no watercraft, which my son just loved. Also, seemed more sedate there, he didn't get to run as much. Both resorts are very pretty, and both are great theming, but I do believe my son had more fun at CSR. We are hoping CBR will be similar.

If you have kids who enjoy the water I really recommend CSR. We have not stayed at POR, but visited it during one of stays and thought it was nice, but the pool got crowded quickly.

CSR has a decent sized pool and with the slide it just adds to the fun. Younger kids will enjoy their own area too and the playground is nice too.

Even though it is a little more spread out (IMO less crowded that way) CSR would be my choice for a moderate! :)
