Moderate Resort

Need help we are going to WDW in June and need a moderate resort..right now all are available..which is best??

We love CSR. The resort is so beautiful, the bus service is great (no shared resorts), love the Pepper Market, theming is wonderful, the pool and slide are so much fun. CSR is our favorite mod and in our top 3 of all the resorts!!! Have fun no matter where you stay...

Truthfully, we have only stayed at the Coronado and have had no desire to try the others because we love Coronado so much (evidenced by the fact we are staying there for the 7th time in September). We have visited the others and they are all lovely. Your best best is to view this thread ( http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=236234) that describes all of them and see what appeals to you (there are also many other threads titled "Favorite Moderate Resort." Ask four people, and they may very well give you four different answers to this question.

We've stayed at POR and CSR. Both are beautiful and have excellent facilities, land scaping and pools.

There are pros and cons to each... but I'm leaning more to POR right now. I've also heard good things about CBR and would like to try it next time (when thye have a brand new pool).

Keep reading the boards, looking at the pics and get a feel for what would be the best for you.

We've stayed at both POR and CSR and we though both were nice.
We like POR a bit better because we enjoy the theme more.

We were able to visit POFQ while we were at POR and will be staying
there this upcoming trip. We really enjoyed the Boat to DTD.
We loved the lush landscaping and restaurants.

I say go with what Theme appeals to you most.

We will eventually try all 4 MODs and I look forward to trying CBR--
the pictures look beautiful--but I'm waiting until the Main Pool is finished.

We have stayed at POFQ and CBR.

We liked the smaller size of POFQ better than CBR.

We thought the main pool at CBR was better than the one at POFQ. We also liked the "quiet" pools scattered throughout CBR.

We liked the themeing/decor better at POFQ.

We thought the busses were better at CBR, but you have the boat to DTD at POFQ which you do not have at CBR.

We thought the food court was better at POFQ.

These were just our thoughts. We are staying at POR in one month, so maybe some of our preferences will change...

I vote for POR although I have not stayed at CSR. My reasoning, POR is simply beautiful. CSR looks beautiful but it is a convention resort and I'm not too keen on the theming, just a personal preference. I have stayed at CBR and thought that was lovely and the theming was great, we stayed there (in Martinque) when the boys were with us. The food court was great and the pools were outstanding but then we found POR.......

.....beautiful theming, full service and counter service restaurants, yes it's a big resort, nicely themed pool, lovely quiet pools, convenient laundry service, boat to DTD, Bob on the piano. We absolutely love POR and we're going back in 25 days!

No matter which one you choose, you will love it. The moderates are fantastic! We've stayed at CBR and CSR, and for our next "big" vacation to WDW, we're going to stay at one of the Port Orleans resorts (we haven't decided which one yet, but that's still 1 1/2 years away).

We prefered Coronado Springs over CBR, but both were wonderful. Just rest assured that whichever one you choose will be great.

Check out pictures of each one and pick out the one that appeals to you most! They all have their loyal fans so I'm sure they are all great. My personal favorite [so far] is POFQ. It is MUCH smaller than the others - our room was less than 2 minutes from the lobby, food court, bus stop, boat dock, pool, and gift shop! The boat to DTD is fabulous too!

I love POFQ for how small it is and the boat transportation to DTD. You are also the first resort to get picked up by bus before it stops at POR to pick up more people, and the first to get dropped off. The landscaping is beautiful and it doesn't take long to walk through the grounds.

CSR is nice as well. I haven't personally stayed there and no real desire to since I lived in Los Angeles for 5 years and the architecture is too 'familiar' to me.

Another vote for CSR! It's our favorite because of the pool and transportation!

Big fan of POFQ!

Love the theme and the more intimate size of that side of the resort.
