At the time of our next trip my ds will be 4 & dd will be 8 .
Which moderate resort will be the best for kids of that age.

I love the look of the Caribbean Beach Resort. But I think the Port Orleans Resorts look fun too.

    Any opinons are welcome .

You will find plenty of info on the Moderate resorts if you go back to the disboards main page and then go to Disney Accomodations.

    Good luck!

The Port Orleans French Quarter is my new favorite. It has the cool serpent slide. There is a boat right at the back of the resort that takes you to DD. This moderate is the smallest of all of them (Riverside, CBR and Coronado Springs). It just feels more cozy and intimate. CBR is very large and spread out. Some villas can be a good hike to the food court/bus stops. Just something to think about with young children.
Have fun planning your trip. This post will probably be moved over to the disney resorts board soon.

I have stayed at both POFQ as well as the CBR. I think that POFQ is nicer IMO because of the pool with the serpent, the guest rooms are alot nicer with the cherry wood. It is a small resort so whatever room you have, it is not a far walk anywhere. At CBR, we had a good 15 minute walk to the foodcourt in the morning which made DH grumpy....
POFQ also has the boats, IMO it just had a more upscale feel to it overall. And the food court had much better food.
Go to and you can see tons of pics of both resorts!!:)

we have stayed at CBR and POR and they are both lovely but we found that there was more to do at POR - our ds loved the fishing hole where he could catch fish ( very reasonable rates) and the horse and carriage rides/ boat hire were fun too. The boat to DD gives you another option to the buses, all in all don't think you can go far wrong with either POFQ or POR.:thumbsup2
