I've been trying to book either CSR or CBR with the new code CHT, ($85/night) for Feb 11 - 15, but not successful. I did reserve Pop Century for $55/night, would you just go with this since its a new resort at a great price, or keep trying.

P.S. Don't really want PO-R- already stayed there. Nice, but want something new.

Also, not too much time to spend at resort, hubby has a meeting at convention center. 2 kids 11 and 12 with our party. Most of the time at either MGM or EPCOT in evenings. Thanks!

I always thought that since I never plan spending much time at the hotel, I'm better off staying at a Value resort and spending the savings on an extra nice dinner or 2.

We stayed once at CBR a number of years ago, but have been staying at an AllStars ever since.

It is totally up to you!

Some people really like to stay a Moderate or Deluxe and would not stay at a value resort. Some who stay at Value CAN afford a Deluxe and just do not feel like spending their money on a place they will not spend much time at.

Others, even though they will not spend much time there, feel it is worth the money. If you ask them, they will not stay anywhere else ever again. They say staying at a specific resort is half of the experience.

I am having a hard time myself with this subject. Our first trip with the girls is in May. I really want it to be special. Our plan is to stay at the Poly LV maybe concierge. Wow, what a lot of money. My husband says it will be worth it, if we don't do it, we will regret it and wish we spent the extra. My thrifty side is screaming, my WDW crazy side :hyper: is saying Hey stay!

Depends on what you really want. Both 55 and 85/per night are great prices. If you considered paying full price for a value, I say go with the mod as the price is right around what you would have paid at full price at the value. Out of the Mods though, I would really consider Port Orleans instead of CBR or CSR. If I had to chose between CBR and CSR, my choice would be CSR.

My vote was to stay at Pop Century!! I reeeaaallllyyy wanted to stay at the WL again next Feb, but with all the great info that Tyler has provided for the Pop Century, we have decided to stay there and with the $55/night, you just can't beat it. I also liked the fact that it is a brand new resort. How often can say that they stayed in a brand new Disney resort? I too will be there in Feb 7 - 14th. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Cya There!!

:wave2:

Have you been reading all of Tyler's Pop-Century threads? He really gives some great info on the resort and some pictures are included too. Pop looks like alot of fun. I like that the buildings do not seem to be too spread out and that there is direct bus service to the parks unlike the mods which have quite a few bus stops just in the resort itself. Plus being a brand new resort everything will be in top notch condition! I'm thinking about adding a trip just to try it out!
