Mod Hotel v AKL

Hmmm. How long does it take to get to the parks ?

Does anyone else think 2 weeks at AKL is too long and I should go for a mod instead

I have the opposite opinion! We stay in August anywhere from 9 to 17 days ... Always at AKL. I think it's better for a long trip than a short one specifically because you're going to have much more down time at the resort. If you were just staying for two days ... I'd say you wouldn't have enough time to enjoy the resort.
AKL had a dedicated bus (stops at Jambo and Kidani). Every once in a while I wait too long for the bus, but this is the case for all the resorts I've stayed at (Beach, Caribbean, POFQ, Swolphin). I love being able to be totally Disney and then go back to AKL and be immersed in the lush African inspired theme ... Say goodnight to my zebra and giraffe and wildebeest and ankole cattle (ok, you get the idea). The farthest you'll go is maybe 25 minutes ... How many times will you do that? Totally worth it!

And do u need to wait long for buses

How far is the water parks

Waits were 5-20 mins. Didn't go to the water parks.

Last time we stayed a way out past universal and after all the stops was about a hour. So sounds close this time lol

We won't be able to afford the Savannah view though as much as I would love to

I usually don't get a savanna view room myself but there are still plenty of places around the lobby and pool to enjoy the savanna. I love spending time by the fire pit at night looking out at the animals.

For me AKL is the best themed resort on property. As long as it's in my budget I'd pick AKL.

Someone told me even if u don't pay for the savanna view there is still a good chance u will get one as 75 percent of the hotel has a savanna view is this true

For me AKL is the best themed resort on property. As long as it's in my budget I'd pick AKL.

I don't think 2 weeks at any Deluxe would be too long! I would love to be able to stay that long!

Well it costs enough to get there from uk so need two weeks to get the most out of it

We were upgraded to Savannah view at check in but the rule of thumb is expect what you paid for.
