We are planning to drive our minivan and I am considering purchasing or renting some type of mobile video player for the kids. The problem is that all of the girls' movies are VHS format, rather than DVDs. I have seen internet sites that rent both VHS and DVD players. If I buy one, I'd want to get the DVD but then I'd have the added expense of buying new DVDs. So I'm thinking about renting VHS. I don't know what to do? Any ideas out there?

Go with a the DVD Player.
They are a lot more portable than a VHS machine.
You can take them on planes easier as well.
They are worth their weight in gold.

Plus they are cheap enough now.

Heck, we took ours to EPCOT back in March. We got a great seat for Illuminations. We watched The Incredibles right by the World Showcase Stage and had quite the crowd around us watching as well.

I agree with the PP get the DVD. It is much more portable and besides, many video/movies are on DVD. We bought a portable DVD player for our 16 drive for DD8 and DS4 and it was great. How about buying new Disney DVD movies as a surprise for the trip. I think your children would enjoy it! :cool1:
