Mobile ordering with a gift card

I haven't seen much on this topic lately and was wondering if anyone has heard if mobile ordering will accept gift card any time soon? When they first introduced MO, my thought was that they were going to do a trial run with all payment methods. I was kind of hoping by now we'd be able to apply the Disney gift cards. Is this a possibility in the near future?
