Mobile Order Question

This will be our first time back to WDW since 2019 and we've never used mobile ordering for our QS dining. Can mobile orders be charged back to your room or do they have to be paid with a credit card/Disney gift card? We're trying to decide what would be the best way to manage our food budget. Thanks in advance for the help!

For me, it seems like it goes to the credit card I have on file in my MDE account.

Cannot charge back to the room. It will charge your credit card on file, or you can manually enter a different credit card/gift card.

Thanks! We were going to buy gift cards to pay for the food if we could charge back to the room but I think it'll be easier to just put it all on the Disney Visa we've got on file. Thanks again for the help!

You can charge to a GC if you input the number manually. Most people just save the GC number as a note on their phone and then copy and paste it into the appropriate spot on the mobile order form.

THIS. I had the GC number saved in a note on my phone that I just copied/pasted into the payment section. It worked just fine and wasn't a hassle at all.

Mobile ordering only allows either the CC on-file Or manual CC/GC input. So no charging to room in any format that I seen. My Mobile Order experience is with the DLR app, but I assume WDW works the same way.

As the previous poster said, that would be the same thing as charging back to the room...which isn't allowed with mobile ordering.

As soon as you place an order using the credit card on file with your MDE account, that credit card is immediately charged. Or, you can manually enter in a gift card number...which is also immediately charged when you place the order.

Yes you can. I have an iPhone, and it gives me the option to use any CC I have in my Wallet. It's easiest (fewest clicks) to use the one linked to MDE already, but I could use a different one if I chose.
