Mobile Order - payment options

I've never used mobile ordering. I am unfamiliar with the payment process. I did the online check in in the MDE app and added a credit card, but I have a lot of disney reward dollars and I am considering buying disney gift cards before my arrival. I want to use these to pay for CS and TS dining.

Is there a way to use a Disney Reward Card for Mobile Orders? Can I use Disney gift cards for mobile orders?

Yes you can use both. You will just have to enter the gift card or rewards card number each time you order. People have suggested putting the number in your phone notepad so you can copy and paste it each time and not have to retype it

It was easy for me to just charge to the room with my magic band and go by the front desk and add my gift cards the last afternoon we were there. I was told to do it before 4 though. It will be deducted from your final bill.

You can put a mobile order to your room? How? That wasn’t available the last time we were there. That sounds like the easiest solution.

Was this before covid when you could pay at the restaurant? Atm you have to add the cc you linked to your magic band. Befor it would take a few befor anything charged with a magic band would go through the cc linked so this is why you could pay it off in a time frame.

Imo consolidate your gift card and add it to a notes app with the number so you can copy paste it easy every time.

Interesting-I searched on these boards and saw where several people said they had done this post covid. The last time I did this was a week before shutdown though. I just now emailed Guest Services and asked, so hopefully I will get a response in the nest 12 days before we leave for our trip. I will probably just take the gift cards around and pay using them at table service restaurants and food kiosks and shops. I don't want to consolidate them though as I plan on letting grands use some of them. I will post here again if I get a definitive response from Disney.

Ok I checked with my daughter who went in October 2020 and stayed a week at Pop. She and her husband went by the front desk the night before check out and applied 12 gift cards to their account to pay off room charges to their magic band. They had charged to Magic Bands at Quick Service, Table Service, and in shops.
