We will be traveling east on I-10 from Texas and looking for a good half way point to stop and stay a night at a hotel. We are wanting something around $50/night if possible, no more than $75/night. I have never been to any of these areas before so do not know anything about them. Anyone have any insight as to what places/areas to avoid or any other advice would be appreciated. I did see the sticky at the top with the link and saved it to my favorites.

Anybody :confused3 Looking at a hotel in Daphne, AL right now. Any info/advice would be appreciated.

I have traveled all over this region but have only stayed at hotels on the beach. Our current plans are to get to the outskirts of Orlando from Dallas and stay overnight at a Holiday Inn just west of the entrance so we won't be tired our first day.

I would look at hotels near where I-10 and I-110 come together in Pensacola. The area around Mobile Bay tended to be older and more rundown in general from what I remember 2 years ago.
