That's not a plot hole. That's a fulfillment of her destiny as set out quite well in the first act. Moana has a deep yearning to explore the ocean well before her island is in trouble. That "main song" you reference explains all that, as does most of the first part of the movie. She wants to go beyond her little island and see what else is out there, but she's made to think these are unnatural thoughts to have and she should be content to stay home and stay in her place. Later she finds out that her people actually used to be great explorers who spread out across the oceans and colonized new islands. They were master sailors and navigators. Due to other events, those skills have been lost over centuries and their history has been hidden away by their rulers. When her island is in trouble she takes to the sea to save her people. The sailing and exploring is in her blood, and the movie is about unlocking those hidden talents she already possesses to become who she was supposed to be. In the end the story wasn't about just saving her island, it was about Moana discovering herself and leading her people back to their original way of life. They are seen moving at the end because they no longer fear the ocean and no longer hide what is in their blood. They have been freed from being a one-island people and are back to their exploring ways. Spreading across the oceans. And the main song happening like 15 min into the story. And the plot line full of holes. Like, why did Moana go through all that mess just to pack up everyone and voyage to a new island at the end? Wasn't the whole point to restore life to the islands so her people would survive? That happened. So why move?
