Just realized we’re going to be embarking on a ship the day the film is released. My kids are going to be eager to see it. Is it going to be completely insane? Will it be in theaters in embarkation afternoon (we have an early boarding time)? Do people queue in the hallway for hours before showtime for the big princess films? What’s my least bad option here…with the understanding that I’m not going to be able to hold them more than a day or two post release date at the best…and my daughter will probably want to see it at least twice.

I haven’t been in a ship during a premier but I’d be shocked if people were willing to spend hours of their cruise time in line for a movie that is going to be in theatres for months. It’s exciting but many will want to experience unique ship offerings over a movie.

Also, the movie theatres are muster drill stations. I would not anticipate the first movie showing on embarkation day until the ship has left port. Once showings start I would anticipate they will be busy but I would not anticipate needing to line up for hours.

(For guests that are on the ship before you, there will be a showing at midnight to the best of my understanding.)

If you are embarking on 11/27, it will likely have "PremEARed" at midnight when the 26th turns into the 27th (ironically AFTER theaters on land have been showing it all the 26th).

It will be in the movie theater(s) on heavy rotation - and if you're on a longer cruise may be the feature in the WDT one evening.

My daughter and I mildly susceptible to motion sickness so I would actually prefer that it not be in the WDT at the front of the ship. The good news if we have already seen the main shows so we can probably skip one of them to make it to watch Moana 2 at what will (hopefully) be a less crowded time.

Thank you all for talking me down from my worst case scenario thinking. 🥰

My family saw WISH on our cruise during Thanksgiving week last year. It was shown instead of an evening show. I really enjoyed going.

We have done a few PremEARS at sea.....they most likely will show it in the WDT as an option one night as one of the "shows".....in addition to the regular stage shows. It will also be shown in the other the Buena Vista theater. It should not be a problem getting a chance to see it onboard.
