Hey Guys!

Me and my DBF will be at Disney in September for 17 days and if the dates are roughly the same as last year, we should be there for MNSSHP.

Now, its approx $55 a ticket and wondered if it is worth going to? I know there is the parade and firework show but what else is there that is different from usual?

I would really like to do it but I dont want to do it if my DBF wont enjoy it as much when we could have spent the $100 on something else.

Thanks in advance! :scared1:

We enjoyed it. It is a different atmosphere in the park - more fun, lots of people dressed up including adults.

You get to trick or treat - basically you get a bag and go around different stations collecting sweets.

Different characters to meet like the 7 dwarves.

The parade was fun, especially the headless horseman.

That said we are not going this year having done it last year. My DD is only little and it messed her up for the last few days - too late a night.

i'd go if you have not done it before.

We did it in 2008, just a few days before Halloween night and really enjoyed it. You get a little bag for trick or treating and can collect "candy" at different stands throughout the park. All the characters have halloween costumes on and you can get a special photopass which gives you money off if you buy any of the pics.

Its great to see all the effort that people go to in terms of costumes. The decorations are really good too, as is the parade. We really enjoyed it and are doing it again this year. Would like to go at xmas at some point. :)

Tric or Treating at various candy stations and special Haloween lighting are about it. Some Haloween dances with characters for the younglings, and generaly a nice atmosphere. We did it with DD last but one visit, lots of Guests wear costumes, I took along a full Jack Sparrow costume, one CM even asked me where I got it from as it was the best he had ever seen.

Short and long is, it is worth doing at least once.

We went during our last trip....we had a fab time, it's now a must for this years trip:thumbsup2

definately a great night.you won't be disappointed.great atmosphere,great fun.
tracy

we've been three times and would highly recommend it. The cost is worth it just for the parade, the headless horseman and the special fireworks. The extra characters are a bonus - dd loved seeing the wicked queen from Snow White and being given the poison apple and also having her photo taken with all the dwarves.

Also the chocolates are very popular with the kids. (and my DH) they take the extras to school when they come home. :goodvibes:

I never had any intention of going last year, but bought tickets just before we left and hoped that we hadn't wasted $110. We hadn't. It was a blast and this year I hope we can do two party nights.

We have been to 4 maybe 5 plus 2 at Disneyland CA. plus 2 Pirates & Princess parties all very enjoyable evenings, if we are ever there again for any party night we will do it. :goodvibes

we have been 3 times and had a brilliant time.Boo to You parade is our favorite parade ever.Fireworks are also very very good and well worth seeing.Lots of characters are always around and some you don't see at other times. Also you can dress with the kids and get free candy:cool1::cool1:need i say more...

I am hoping to book for Halloween next year. I'm planning on 31st Oct 2012. It looks great and it's an excuse to dress up.;)

Well a bit late to the party here (pun intended ;) ) and looks like you've already made up your mind anyhow but just wanted to add another thumbs up for the party!

We're a couple, don't really do characters and don't do costumes either and we still love MNSSHP! The parade is awesome and the overall atmosphere is...well I know this sounds a bit twee, but it's magical.

If you're interested in some photo's can check out my party report/pics from last September here and here :)

I totally agree with this. DH and i will be going to our third party this year and he has even said he wants to dress up this time! no idea as to what we are going as yet but I can't wait. We did get our photos last year with cinderella's coach and the haunted coach and they were great.
Maybe this year I will get my 7 dwarfs one finally.

anyone know when the tickets and dates will be out, know that the dates are kinda already there but want to make sure i get my tickets

It should be within the next 2 weeks. Usually early May but there was one year (2009?) when I seem to recall them being out in the last few days of April.

I booked mine last minute last year and had no problem getting tickets. Even although you are going to be there over Halloween itself, the 31st October/1st November parties and any other typical 'sell out' dates usually don't go until a few months or even less before, so hopefully that will take some pressure off of you. :goodvibes I have no doubt that as soon as the dates are released it will be posted on here anyway.

Like you I am also looking out for them! :yay:

My dF has her heart set on doing this, Although it does seem a bit steep for the tickets :confused3 I expected it to be a cheaper upgrade for a days pass being as we already have 14 day passes booked, it's like paying twice for that one day lol

People do seem to say that it is well worth it though :goodvibes

you cant upgrade the tckets, you have to buy one even if you have the 14 day tickets. the park closes at 7pm for normal guests and you get a wristband to say you have the halloween tickets
