Ok, so what IS the party?:confused3 Is it after the park has closed? Is it during the day? What do I need to know? Extra tickets? Do people dress up? Is it ONLY at MK? I know nothing other than the dates I saw posted here and that some kids raked in the candy. :rotfl2: Mostly, does a family with 9, 12 year olds need to go or shy away from MK while it is going on? We will be there Oct.4-11th and are just excited enough with just going to all four parks- first time for ALL of them!!!

After the park is closed (at 7pm.)

Yes. Special tickets.
You don't use a "day" of regular admission at all.
But you may enter MK on your party day as early as 4pm, using only your party ticket.

Some guests and kids come in costume.

MK only.

Just wanted to add Most people dress up. Didn't dress up the first year I went and was amased at how many people dressed up.

The park closes around 6pm I think and the event then starts at 7 and goes on until midnight. Most of the rides are open and they have a special parade and a special fireworks show that can't be seen on other nights.

During the event you can trick or treat around the park as they have candy stations and give you a bag as you enter. The characters are around everywhere in costumes and things which is nice. They do some special shows too such as a spooky dance show. It tends to be a really nice event and I think they have less people in the MK than they do on a normal opening (not 100% sure on this).

They have released projected dates this year but they are not all confirmed yet.

September 5th, 9th, 12th, 19th, 23rd, 26th, 28th, 30th
October 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th, 10th, 13th, 16th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 28th, 30th & 31st
