When I called and booked our ressies for Oct 28-Nov 3 the CM asked if we'd like to purchase our tickets for MNSSHP. She said Oct 30 would be cheaper than the 31st but both are still available. What would you book? The 30th will probably not be as busy as the 31st, but the question is, "how packed will it be on the 31st?". My DD's are 10 & 7, and are a little bummed they're missing Halloween back home, so I'm leaning more towards the 31st. When we did the Princess & Pirate party they loved that we could literally walk up and go on all the rides all night. A little bit worried about the crowds on the 31st. Your knowledge from past MNSSHP would be greatly appreciated. And another question, we leave on the 3rd of Nov, and I remember reading last year from OP about how early the Christmas Decorations go up at the park. Will we see this before we head home do you think? Thanks again!

If you are worried about crowds, go with the 30th. I am sure the Fort is going to have something fun for the 31st.

We went on the 31st a few years ago and it was packed!!! If I were to be there during your time frame, I would definitely go with the 30th. Believe me, it will be just as "Halloweeny" and more fun when it's not as packed.

One thing our family loved and you should try to see is the story teller in front of Liberty Tree Tavern. At the end of his story, "The Headless Horseman," the headless horseman rides through. It's great!:thumbsup2

Does anyone know if they do anything at the Fort on Halloween night? I asked the CM when we booked if the kids trick or treat through the Fort and she wasn't aware that they do, but I thought maybe some Dissers out there might know.

Well thanks everyone for the great advice as usual. I called today and booked MNSSHP for the 30th. We want to be able to enjoy the park at a lower crowd capacity and are hoping the 30th will be great. Does anyone know if anything goes on around the Fort on the 31st? I wouldn't want to not have candy if the kiddies go Trick or Treating!
75 days and counting:cool1:

Ain't that the truth!! I'm already dreading the ride home, may as well have some comfort food:rotfl:

Yes, many of the snow birds hand out candy on Halloween. Your best loops will probably be the 100-300 loops. In addition, they have traditionally had the Haunted Hayride at FW during Halloween. The tell the story of the Headless Horseman with a surprise visitor in the black of night

They also have activites going on over at Downtown Disney on Halloween night. Although I would think this would be crowded as well. Just another option.

Oh by the way, we'll be there the same time.
