Due to excellent airfare we changed our 11/25-12/1 vacation to 10/21-10/27.That said we are thinking about taking niece(8) and nephew(5) to the Halloween party. My niece is diabetic so the trick or treating will be tough on her (my SIL usually buys back all her candy on Halloween). I'm wondering if it will be worth it. Any suggestions? Thanks

The park is decorated for Halloween and the parade has a Halloween "villains" theme. Last year's Hallowishes fireworks were excellent. If your niece could still have the fun of trick or treating, but have some diabetic treats along for a snack, they would probably have a great time. Trick or treating at WDW wouldn't be any different than trick or treating at home. She'll just have a TON of candy Mom will have to buy back. We usually end up with about 4 lbs. of candy per person and we don't spend a lot of time trick or treating.

The Halloween party is a blast. If your niece likes dressing up for Halloween she'll love MNSSHP. The kids look so cute! The fireworks and parade are awesome and the whole atmosphere if fun. We've gone to several of them, with and without kids, and had a great time. Maybe instead of candy you can get your niece the special MNSSHP pins? They're really cute and only available at the parties. - pooh:
