Has anyone done this just as adults? It seems like a lot of fun, but I am wondering how it would be with just DH and I. Is there enough for adults to do? Would it be weird for adults to dress up and get treats? I have never been so I don't really know what it is like. Any thoughts?

Well, we're not too much different. For our trip in October it will be 7 adults and a 1 y.o. Yes, we're going for the grown ups. While I'm not sure we'll all dress up, we'll definitely trick or treat a little.

We are also going for the first time in Nov. It will be 4 adults who will not be in costume. We're feeling a little funny to trick or treat. We'll see if we trick or treat. Also, we will be going on the Magic the next morning for a week & the last thing I think we'll need is 4 giant bags of candy. :rotfl:

I dunno, I guess we'll just play it by ear. If other adults not in costume are trick or treating then I could see us doing it.

I went solo in '03 and plan on going twice this coming October. The parade is a lot of fun. The fireworks have changed since '03 so I can't comment on them. I did some trick or treating, not a lot, but I will do it again this year. I haven't deceided on the costume issue.

Why not, we are all children at WDW. My DH, DM and I did MVMCP last December and my DH and I are going to the P&PP in August for his birthday and we don't have any children. Go and just have a great time. There are many people that post here that go with their older children and they all dress up, so why not. I might if we ever go to MNSSHP. I won't in August because it is just too hot.

I am planning on going with my DH and my adult sister on September 28th. The three of us are planning to dress up as pirates and have a great time! I have been hoping that we aren't the only ones, but if we are- OH WELL! We will have fun anyway!!

Me and DBF went last year and dressed up AND got candy. Both of us are in our 20s. To be honest I didn't particularly notice how many other couples or solos without kids were around. Kinda hard to tell when it's dark and you're too busy having fun!

We never felt out of place though and got lots of compliments on our costumes (vampires). This year we're going as Cinderella and Prince Charming!

I went as part of a larger family that included kids, but after the first hour split off with my mom and so we were two adults without costumes and had a blast. Very few had costumes, but it was a few years ago so that may have changed. We went on Halloween night, and I did notice that it was so warm that most kids had pulled off their costumes not too long into the evening (polyster is not good in heat, and kids get "over" the costume thing in the presence of fun rides and just want to be comfortable). So for those who bring costumes for the kids, try to be prepared for a change of plans in case the kid wants to peel it off after an hour!

I much preferred the Halloween Party to the Christmas Party (but both were worth it). Seeing the villains in the parade was a hoot. I found that as adults we got around a little easier than the families with small kids -- we didn't stand in chracter lines, and we didn't bother with trick or treating, though as the night got later and we saw CMs standing around with bags outstretched we'd grab a tootsie roll or whatever on our way to the next attraction.

There was a different feeling in the air, and the later it got, the better -- many of the youngest kids left after the first parade, and the park got a really eerie feel with scary music towards the end.

You won't feel out of place at all!

The trick or treating is pretty informal, so you will probably feel welcome to do it whether you are dressed up in costume or not. It's just cast members standing w/ huge tubs of candy, and sometimes if they're not busy, they will kind of chase you down if you try to walk by without getting some.

I am like the other poster, I really can't ever remember whether I noticed any other families w/o children, b/c my group was having so much fun. We have dressed up when we have gone before. I think you'll probably be comfortable whatever you decide. Have fun!

I was at last years first MNSSHP on Sept. 15 and I was solo. I went through one of the trick-or-treat lines but IMHO - not worth it. Waaay to long of a line for just a few pieces of candy. Some adults dress up or will wear some kind of Holloween-ish t-shirt. I didn't dress up but had I gone with friends or if I had a bf/husband to go with I might have considered it.

Hallow-o-Wishes in my opinion is worth the ticket price alone. I think that to be much better than Wishes. I did not feel out of place at all being there as a solo adult.

The parade looked really good, but I didn't watch all of it. I did watch the headless horseman ride by. It's a great time to get on rides as lines are very short. It's also a good time to get pictures with more rare characters. Snow White and all seven dwarfs pose together for pictures. Also, Cinderella’s Coach is pulled out and you can have your picture taken in front of it. Photopass photographers were there but I chose to just take my own picture.

Go and have fun. Don’t think anything of the fact that you are two adults there without kids.

As Princess Stitch stated, no one is paying attention for if you have children or not. There is so much going on that I never thought to notice if there were others there as adults only or as solo's. I doubt that anyone paid me much attention either.

My wife and I are going by ourselves (and the rest of the crowds) in September to this, and we're not really concerned about it being just adults in our party. It'll be our first time to attend it and it sounds like a lot of fun, so we're just hoping that it will be.
