MNSSHP - What happens when party starts?

We are planning to attend in September and hopefully getting to the park at 4. At 4 does it already have the party atmosphere or is it just like a regular day?
Second question. If the party starts at 7 does anything happen to signal that it has begun? Does it get darker, Halloween music play, etc.....

None of the party ambiance (lighting, effects, music) start until 7. From 4 to 7, it's just like a regular park day (though the fall decor is up 'round the clock).

The lines and wait times drop from 4-7, so it's worth it to show up then. At 7 a spooky announcement comes over the loudspeakers (sounds like the guy from haunted mansion) saying that the party has started. IMO it doesn't really "feel" like the party until after dark, but MK is always cooler after dark.
