MNSSHP ~ We Will Miss You This Year!!! *****Update 9/12*****

Hi Amy,
Definately keep posting!
It's always good to hear what there is to do outside WDW! :thumbsup2
It's a lovely part of the state and I think sometimes it's too easy to just focus on WDW.

I get the job of "assigning" the tickets for our group. So far, it has worked out well but my family knows that I am more "obsessed" as they say so I normally get first pick. :goodvibes

 Tickets!

That's funny, no one else fights over them at your house?:rotfl:
Cool that you get first pick!

Okay ~ does anyone else dislike seeing that scary face at the bottom of the screen all the time? :rotfl: I really don't like that kind of stuff...SCARY!!!

I will now, thanks for reading and wanting me to keep posting :)

It really is a lovely part of the state, and we have some great things planned that's most likely going to inspire a lot of people to at least spend one of their vacation days outside of the parks ;)

Thanks again guys ~ I really appreciate you! I will continue on with my report ~ and do another great TR when we get back. I will post an update today, with the first day or two of our itenerary. Thanks again!

:goodvibes

The face is kind of creepy, isn't it? :scared1:

Can't wait for your itinerary. We're always looking for things to do in the Orlando area. I'm sure that I'll get more than a few good ideas from you!!! If I recall, your Sea World trip is what made us decide that we HAVE to go this year! :worship:

Waiting for more...........popcorn::

I agree that you should keep posting! I'm sure we'll all learn a thing or do about things to do outside of the parks! Keep it coming! :goodvibes

Yeah for the tickets coming! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I dont like that thing at the bottom of the screen either. My kids love to look while I DIS since there are so many cool pictures and last night it freaked them out! :scared1:

This month is going to fly by for a lot of us! MNSSHP here we ALL come!!!

We've been going back and forth on when to leave for Orlando. We originally were going to leave at about 4:30pm Friday night and drive to Kingsland, GA, 3 miles from the FL. line and stay the night. Then we would get up Sat. morning and only have a pleasant 3 hour drive to Orlando.

Now we're leaving earlier, Fri. early AM , the time I'm not sure of, probably around 4 am? We want to get there at a decent time and eat dinner at Sweet Tomatoes, then check into our hotel and enjoy the pool and hot tub before going to bed at a fairly decent time. If we leave at 4am, we will be there by 4pm with stops. I just don't want to be too tired from getting up so early:scared:

This will give us the whole day Sat. without traveling. We are staying at Comfort Suites Maingate East Friday night, which I'm really excited about. It looks great and they have a nice pool, kiddie pool and hot tub. They also have a great breakfast with mickey waffles:goodvibes

Sat. after breakfast we will check out and spend the day at Downtown Disney, and most likely visit the Poly and ride the Monorail. We may eat at Trail's End at FW campground and ride the boat to FW to enjoy the geiser and the beautiful resort.

At 3pm we get to check into our villa at Silver Lake Resort :cool1: We will go to our villa and check it out, snap lots of pics and take some video , unload the van and get "moved in". Then we will run to the Publix down the road to get some perishables for the week. We will bring a lot of our own food for the week from home, since we are all picky and only eat natural and organic foods, it's easier that way.

After we get some food we'll head back "home" and put away the groceries and head to the pool and hot tub :) After that we'll spend a nice evening relaxing watching tv, playing our WDW Uno we bought from MK in Jan., etc. and get to bed when we're tired.

Stay tuned for Day 2 :goodvibes

Yes, MNSSHP Here We All Come! :wizard:

Sounds great! I actually prefer driving at 4am as opposed to starting out later in the day. :thumbsup2

It will be nice to have a hot tub to unwind after a long day.

Sounds like a great first day! Lots of fun and relaxing all in one! Looking forward to hearing about your plans for day 2!

   A really early start!!
I'm really not a morning person - I don't think I could do it :worship:
Sounds like a good start to the holiday!!

Your trip plans sound great but wow you will be getting up so early. :cool1: , only 3 more weeks for you all. We still have a month to go. We thought about leaving at 4:00am on our Saturday check in but then we wouldn't get there until late afternoon. So now we are leaving after school/work on Friday and stopping half way. That way we will have sometime at the resort when we get there to swim and maybe go to DTD. Started my pretrip today finally.

Me too, we did it once a few years ago and it was great. The kids actually slept the first 3 hours or so, and by 7am we were past Columbia and about an hour or so before I-95. I love it when we get on I-95 ~ it's really like, Disney here we come:laughing:

I am so looking forward to that hot tub...:cloud9:

Thanks! We hope so, that's the plan and goal for this trip ~ fun and relaxation!!!

 I'm not that early of a morning person either, but it will be fun. We will be glad when we arrive in Orlando and it's only 4pm:goodvibes

Thanks :) Now there is only 2 1/2 weeks ~ you only have 3 weeks now!!!

Thanks for the link to your PTR!

So I haven't posted the rest of our itenerary yet because I don't really know what it is

We are just going to go with the flow ~ do what we want, when we want, for the first time EVER in Orlando:rotfl:

I will tell you what we ARE going to do ~ our goals for the trip.

We want to check out these resorts for possible pin trading, gift shops and sightseeing.

Pop Century
AK Lodge
Beach Club (Boardwalk for Beaches and Cream)
Wilderness Lodge
The Monorail Resorts (Always)

We will be going to Downtown Disney A LOT!

We will be playing mini golf on and off WDW property.

We may be going to TL.

We will be going to the Historic Bok Sanctuary.

We will be going to Highlands Hammocks State Park (A beautiful swamp about 1 1/2 hours away)

We may go on an airboat ride.

We may go to GatorLand.

And of course MNSSHP:wizard:

And that's about it for major highlights...we'll see how it goes when we're there, we may find something else great to do :)

We will also be enjoying our wonderful villa , the pools, hot tubs, movie theater, etc. ~ we are going to arrive early Sat. and request a new building on the top floor, apparantly you can see the fireworks from your balcony there!!!

The resort is only about a mile and a half from AK Lodge, you take the left on Sherbeth Rd. right before you get to the Lodge and the back entrance to Silver Lake Resort is right there!

So that's our plans. It feels good knowing that as soon as we get in our van we will be free to relax the next 10 days. Last trip to WDW was rush rush rush from the moment we left home!

Sounds wonderful! I sometimes think about going to Orlando during the summer (when my seasonal AP is blacked out) just to take in all those other things the area has to offer. There really is so much to do without stepping foot in the parks. Resort hopping alone could take up two days! :goodvibes

Sounds Relaxing! Someday we need to go on a nice long trip to Orlando, and do lots of nonpark things too!

We might be at DD on Sat too. And we will probably take a walk around the poly on our way too or from the contemporary for lunch at Chef Mickey's. Maybe a boat ride from one resort to the other. I'm trying not to overplan. so we may completely change that around. :rotfl:

Thanks! We're so excited about this vacation!!!

There really is so much to do ~ and after our busy busy trip in Jan., we really want to do all this other stuff we totally missed last time:goodvibes

You should someday...you know, we were going to use the RCI week we had at a beach to just relax, but then we thought, we can relax in Orlando and get to see our favorite place ~ works perfect!!!

Well, look for us at DD on Sat., we'll probably be at the Lego store:laughing:

I can't believe it's so soon, can you?!?
