Is it necessary to have park tickets if you just go to the party? And if not, what's the procedure? What time can you go in and is there a special line just for that?

Thanks.

No, you don't need a park ticket since it's a hard ticket event. The party is 7-12 I think but you can go a little earlier. I'm sure someone can answer for sure. I seem to recall reading 4:30 maybe? We've always had park tickets so I'm not positive.

You only need your MNSSHP ticket to get into MK for the party. Although the ticket (or letter enclosed) says the party starts at 7? (I'll have to look), we walked in early last year. 5PM, I belive. There was a dedicated entrance just for MNSSHP ticket holders, but it was easy to find and many CM's pointed the way. Many of the other turnstiles at that time were being used for exits.

I believe we were given wrist bands right after entering - before passing underneath the train station/lockers area. CMs gave us a bag and a brochure of activities. We took care of some attractions before 6PM, then party guests were being herded into Frontier Land. We had a great time.

All you need is the ticket for the Party itself. They will let you in with just the Party ticket around 4pm... From 4-6pm you have full access to the park as it is still open to everyone. At 6pm it will close to the general public and they will ask everyone that is there for the party to head to a certain land (you will get a wristband when you enter the park to signify that you are there for the party). From 6-7 the party guests will be held in whatever land they decide to have open (the rides in that land will be open for you), while they clear the rest of tha park of the day guests... At 7pm (or as soon as the park is cleared) they will open everything back up for the party.

Thanks everyone. I've got an AP but my family does not. I figured we'd travel the day of and just do the party. That way, we wouldn't have to waste Park Hopper days for the family.

Thanks CDS! That's the most complete answer I've seen on this. We are going, for the first time, on 9/15 and I knew we could get in at 4, but I didn't know all the particulars. We have ADR at LTT for 5:50, so this will work great!

Thank you so much for posting this question (as well as the answer). I had no idea we could get into the park early for this event. We've never been to MNSSHP before, and we would have just shown up at 7:00. This board has been an invaluable tool. Thanks!

They don't advertise it so that they get a "trickle affect" at the gate instead of a mass entrance. They used to close the park at 6, completely clear it out and then re-enter at 7. So if you were in the park (without a dining reservation) and had tickets for the party you had to exit, get back in line and wait to re-enter. When they added bag check at the turnstiles, this process created a huge bottle neck and they decided to try something new. So they changed it to anytime after 4pm you could enter, get your wristband and so on... Without advertising it this way people that know from past experience (or boards like this) show up after 4 and create a steady entrance instead of the chaos of past... It really was a great addition and we all benefit from it too, so it is a win-win. Have fun at the party... the Halloween party is my favorite.

*** ALSO just wanted to add that if you are already in the park, having used a regular park ticket or annual pass, you can get the wristbands after 4pm from multiple distribution locations throughout the park. You do not have to go back to the turnstiles to get them... But you will have to find a location for them prior to 6pm... Also, you can not bring your entire families tickets to get wristbands. It is one for one (or has been in the past), the CM will take your party ticket from you in this situation (as they have to be processed and since it never went through the turnstile, they have to do this after the fact...if you want it for your scrap book you can stop by City Hall on the way out and they will give you one back that has been swiped) and then the CM will put the wristband on you, they are not allowed to hand you a bunch of them for your family that is in line somewhere else, so if you do this option make sure everyone is together and then go get them.
