We've done both. Its really personal preference but IMO, MNSSHP has the far superior parade and fireworks. Fun, catchy songs, unique characters, etc. The MVMCP parade and fireworks were not as memorable and the "snow" on Main Street was really only visible if you look up and into the light to see it falling. The cookies & cocoa take the place of the trick-or-treat candy, only they have the same snickerdoodle cookies at every stop. Unlike at the Halloween party, where mostly every candy stop has something a little different. Plus, it just seems like you can do more fun things with a Halloween theme. They are both worth doing once, but MVMCP was a one and done for us.
