MNSSHP - undecided

For us it's worth it just for the parade and fireworks but we are parade people and the MNSSHP parade is my favorite parade EVER. The song is so catchy and I love the villans and the Gravediggers with the shovels are awesome!

The headless horseman is really fun too!

We don't concentrate on rides either. We trick or treat, and visit the Characters, Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs are out. You can get your picture taken in front of Cinderellas Coach and the Princesses are all joined by their Princes.

OMG! I'm totalyy going now! my DH LOVES Grumpy, but I can never find him.

We have gone 2x and this year we will miss it. We're already so sad about this. Anyway, in our opinion, it is WELL worth the money. Some things that we learned after our first year and we corrected our second year were:

> stay at your resort for resort and swimming time on the day of the party. Make a late lunch ADR and then get to the MK between 4:00-5:00, do any rides at that time, then spend the rest of the night enjoying trick or treating, the dressed up characters, the music and dancing, and a must-do is to watch the parade! I'm not a parade person, but I love this parade. Look for the headless horseman, watch halloween Wishes, enjoy the decorations at night as they look especially cool when it's dark out, do more trick or treating!

We don't stay there until midnight. Our kids get tired out by around 10:00/10:30ish and so we tend to leave around that time. By getting there at 4:00, that makes 6+ hours and that is plenty of time.

One hint, and maybe it was already mentioned above, but it has been very hot in MK on the 2 nights we've gone to the party. Be sure to have costumes on that won't make the heat feel worse. In other words, strive for sleeveless and light material.

Thanks for all of the input - after reading what was posted here and talking to our travel agent at AAA (also a fan), we're going to do it. :yay: DH is really excited now - he says this is the excuse he's been waiting for to buy himself a full set of Jedi robes!! :rotfl: I was able to nip that in the bud, though - I reminded him about how hot he'd get! Now I just need to find DD and DS constumes they won't be hot and/or itchy in... and, apparently, find a costume for myself (wasn't really counting on that one!). Can't wait!!!:cool1:

I am also debating on whether we go or not. My boys are 10 and 12 and are starting to feel that trick or treating is "for babies." Someone told me that you can practically walk on the rides, and that is what they would be interested in. Does anyone go for this reason???
