Hi All

Planning on going to my first MNSSHP on Sept 24th. Do you recommend bringing your own Trick or Treat Bag or using one provided at the party? I am planning on maximizing my time and entering the park at 4:00pm. Since the party does not begin until 7:00pm, if I use a big provided, where would I pick up the Trick or Treat bag and when would they be available?

Thanks foryour insight and opinions!

We did the party last year for the first time and I would definately have another option. We had little cinch sacks for our kids with Halloween pictures on them. I let them use the bags WDW gives out and then we would dump them every so often into their cinch sacks. The bags they provide are tiny. They are handing them out in lots of places.

It really depends on how much candy you want! The bags they provide are teeny - maybe 4' tall? Maybe 6"? We used a reusable tote, the size you get at the grocery store and it was pretty full!

I am lucky enought to have an embroidery machine, so I will be making ours.

going to try and make them like a cinch bag was can carry on back until next time needed.

Depends on how much candy you want. The ones they hand out are perfectly fine, imo. When you enter the park with your party ticket, you will get your wristband and a bag from the gate CM.

We will be there the same day! It's our first Halloween Party too. Do little kids who aren't old enough for tickets get a bag too?

You are never to old to trick or treat ;)

Everyone gets a bag :)

We will be joining you on the 24th for our first MNSSHP too! I can't wait. Along the same lines as the bags, can someone describe the type of candy they give out. Is it typical halloween candy (small candy bars and sugar based candies like sweet tarts and nerds) or is it special Disney candy?

It's regular Halloween candy. They're usually pretty generous with it, too.

We got a tote like bag with Tangled theme on it at the store for about $4. Sturdy in case she cleans up :)

Especially when suits aren't around ;)

I go old school and bring a pillowcase.

The bags are a little bigger. I just measured the one from last year and it is about the size of a lunch bag. It is 9" tall, 7" wide and 3" front to back. We take an extra tote or backpack and transfer the candy.

The bags aren't large but they hold a lot. By the end of the party 2 years ago, we each had 2 bags mostly full. It was a huge amount of candy. I was looking for something in my dd's closet Saturday and she still has some of the Werthers Caramel Apple candies.

I just bought some big super cute Disney halloween bags at Party City for 99 cents each. They had Mickey, Minnie and Monsters Inc. Can't wait to fill them up on September 13th!

I just finished making these. I bought the supplies at Michael's --- $1.00 black bag, $0.29 orange felt, $1.19 ribbon, and $1.99 glitter glue. I found a Mickey template online, traced it onto the felt, cut it out, and hot glued it to the bag. Some glitter glue for the names, and voila! I am usually not crafty at all, but I think these turned out cute!

The bags are generally this size:

My husband, son (who was 2 at the time), and myself received this much candy in a 2 hour period:

You will definitely want to bring a larger bag as a back up. ;)

I just bought a costume matching backpack so as not only to have my hands free, but to hold more candy. :p
