I bought 2 tickets for MNSSHP, print at home pdf option, but I didn't receive a confirmation email of my purchase nor are they linking up to MDE. Now, I know I should receive an email, but do the tickets like up to MDE in the first place? I've tried the "help us link it" by providing the ID code but says it's linked to an account already, so I assume it's linked to us somehow even if it's not showing up in MDE. Do I have to call Disney?

Use the code on the printed tickets as the reference ID to enter into "the add tickets" feature on MDE. I did this the other day for my MNSSHP ticket and my MVMCP ticket. They don't show up in my itinerary section, but they do show up under my tickets.

This worked! Thanks!

Apparently I was using the code under the barcode and not my confirmation code!

I have a silly questions some-what related to this topic. I see so many people mentioning about linking their MNSSHP AND MVMCP tickets to MDE. I have never done this and sadly must admit I've barely even used MDE on past trips lol never linked anything really through it. So looks like with all this new FP+ stuff I will have to get on board with MDE stuff!

But to my question- do you have to link the party tickets? Or can you still just keep the print out option or hard copy option? Why are so many people linking these to MDE.. I'm a newbie with all this stuff sorry!

You do not have to link them. I only did it because it's one less thing to carry.

No, you don't have to link the tickets. There is a special entrance for the party that you MUST use so as to not take a day from a regular park ticket.

Linking them to MDE now allows them to be on the Magic Band. I linked mine just in case I should misplace the hard ticket. I can use my MB at the party gate.

There have been complaints about using your MB to enter parties, since some people consider the party as their day at the park, they won't want to use their regular multiday ticket. If you don't use the party gate, your party ticket will not get scanned and you will use a regular day. This is generally the reason for the complaints. My CM told me, when I bought the tickets, to make sure I used the party gate.. several times during my call.

Using the hard ticket will force you to use the party gate because it won't be accepted at a regular gate.

Good to know! I've been to MNSSHP twice and always went through the regular gates, kind of just checked into the park the same way we always would and just made our way to get bracelets (when we were early) and once from will call. Anyway I had no idea it took away a ticket, we had extra ticket days so that is probably why I didn't notice. Thanks for that info!

Oh okay thanks! I haven't used MDE much so I'm weary on linking them. But good to know if I choose not to it makes no difference much other than not having to hang onto them, Thankyou!! :)

It's also no big deal if you have park hoppers and you went to another park in the morning. You'd never notice the ding on your regular ticket. Plus, I don't know if they had special gates before the Magic Bands. The magic bands might require special gates so as to make sure it pulls from the proper ticket (party ticket). Since you had to have a hard ticket before the bands, any gate could accept the hard ticket.
