MNSSHP ticket exchange?

We are seriously considering making a trip down in October (we were there in May). Let me explain that I have had that urge to go back this year since I came back. So this new airline is flying from our local airport, the fares are really good, they fly direct into MCO. So to me this is a sign.

Anyway, if we do decide to go, I want to purchase my tickets for MNSSHP now. Problem is, sometimes when new airlines start up, they don't always make their start date. No problem, we can easily change our dates. Now I know that the MNSSHP tickets are non refundable. Anybody ever have any luck changing the dates? I don't want to buy the tickets and be stuck w/ them but also don't want to not buy the tickets and the date sells out. We are only going for 3 nights.

I think I would buy the tickets and take a chance if you think you'll be there. MNSSHP is becoming more and more popular. So, I think we may start to see more sell-outs this year or in the coming years. You just don't know.

Anyhow, as for the airline. I've never expierenced what you are talking about so I really can't give a judgement on that. I would ask Disney directly what they can do. Most likely they will tell you there's nothing they can do. There have been some Dis'ers that have exchanged tickets in years past, however that is really luck of the draw. There is no guarantee that will work. So, I wouldn't buy based on that. I guess worse case scenario-- if you find out you won't be going. You could donate the tickets to Make a Wish. There are always families going and I'm sure they'll be put to good use. I've transferred quite a few non-transferable tickets and credits this way. Many companies are willing to bend the "rules" a hair when it comes to giving things like tickets or airline credits to charity.
