MNSSHP -- Sunday or Tuesday?

We are going in October over our kids' fall break. We're starting at US and will move to WDW on Tuesday after Columbus Day. We will stay at AKV for 3 nights and then move to the Poly for 5, leaving the following Wednesday. We have 6 day tickets with PH. Tentative plans are:
Tuesday: 1/2 day at US/IOA; move to AKV; dinner at AKV or DTD/DS. I'm not thinking MNSSHP here because we'll have had a busy day with US and the move and such so I don't think the kids will have the staying power.
Wednesday: Epcot probably all day
Thursday: AK
Friday: MK, maybe Epcot that night
Saturday: DHS; that night we're having our anniversary dinner at V&A so might be slow going the next day

This is where the schedule gets fuzzy and flexible. My original planning was to save the MNSSHP for our day off so we just lounge and check out DS/DTD or the resort and then have the energy for MNSSHP. I was also thinking planning the day off and the MNSSHP for the day after our anniversary dinner might be smart, especially if we do the wine pairing (lesson learned from a wine pairing at Napa Rose and the next day at DLR -- I've never enjoyed just standing and waiting in a line for a M&G for 2 hours more. Tough being a lightweight.). The other option is we save MNSSHP for Tuesday night and do Tuesday at our park of choice and Tuesday night is our last hurrah. Wednesday we can get up late and get our stuff together before heading to the airport that afternoon for our flight. I've heard Tuesdays are the best days of in terms of crowds generally but from last year's crowd calendar, looks like it would be moderate versus Sunday which is heavy.

So after arguing with myself endlessly and myself both winning and losing, I'm thoroughly confused. What day would you think is best for MNSSHP and why? Thanks in advance!

We did a Tuesday in September and it sold out. Really crowded. :(

I would not decide based on how crowded you think it will be. A sold out Tuesday is just as bad as a sold out Sunday or Friday. You can't know what the crowd levels are going to be though you can probably bet they are going to be high. I would base it on my schedule.

While I love a last hurrah at the Halloween party, I don't think I would do it on the same day I already did another park. We like to save up our energy so we can really enjoy the entire party.

Whatever day you can relax in the day and attend the party at night, then sleep in the next morning. That is what I would do.
