[OK John, I'll take up your challenge...]

I was at MNSSHP opening night too...I ran into Julie, Corey & family (thanks for the shout out on the show, Julie!) & said hi to Pete, Walter, Kathy, Teresa, Stella, Grace, & Heather too after I saw them walking by while I was waiting for the parade to start - sadly, I didn't see John & Kevin...:(

I was at the party solo as I had a work conference I was attending & for the price of the ticket, this was a great way to get into the park for an extended amount of time. I was able to be there from 5pm to midnight & got my tix at the advanced price so from a per hour price, the party ticket can't be beat!

My family attended MNSSHP last year around the same time, so I can compare to then, but those are the only 2 parties I have attended. I thought the party was great! 10 out of 10! I definitely noticed the enthusiasm of the cast members, especially during the parade. I too think it may be because of it being the first party of the year & the CMs may have been just as excited as I was to be at the party! Watching the faces of the performers, especially the ones 'singing' on the floats, I really noticed how animated they were! I thought the candy was better than last year as well. Even my boys said something about that when I brought it home for them yesterday! Lots of great costumes - I saw the cutest baby, probably around 6 months dressed up as Pinocchio being carried around by his parents. The rides I went on were all pretty much walk ons & the dance parties looked pretty hoppin' too!

I do have to agree with Kevin's comments about Fantastyland. In fact, I was talking to my husband while I was waiting in line for Pooh & commented that I was glad we went last year as our first family trip, because there were so many things under construction in FL. I was LOL at the Winnie the Pooh's Adventure at the Loading Dock comment!

One other thing I noticed that wasn't mentioned on the show - I saw TONS of management walking around the party in groups of 4-6! To me it seemed like the place was crawling with them. I'm attributing this to it being the first party & them observing the crowd, set up, etc. to make adjustments for future parties, but also wondered if some might be from DL as I heard this year the west coast's Halloween party is moving from DCA to DL...did anyone else notice this?

It was nice to meet you! I am glad you thought it was a 10. Thanks for coming out of lurkdom.

Kathy

Thanks for being the first to accept my lurker challenge - I'm sorry we didn't see you there. We did see a few listeners but I was hoping we would meet more.

We commented on the show about the number of cast members in general that were out that night. I hope it wasn't just because it was the first night, but maybe it was.

We didn't see that baby. Did you see the Gingerbread man? He was awesome.

My parents just missed seeing all of the team. They decided not to go to the party after all!

We were there and did look for you but unfortunately didn't manage to see any of the podcast team, although we did see the gingerbread man he was amazing. :thumbsup2
