So, if this storm hits as a hurricane on Monday, Sept 2 for the party, will they cancel or will it continue? I have tickets for that party.

I've been to the party in some pretty torrential rain, I think it will have to be Cat 3 and parks close before they cancel.

I'm also watching the storm pretty close, we arrive on Saturday and also attending the 9/2 party-fingers crossed. So far it looks like we will be losing our AK day on Sunday to the storm.

We also arrive Saturday and have tickets for the Monday party. I'm definitely watching this closely. Nearly everything seems uncertain at this point, except for the fact that it's going to be a very soggy start to our vacation. I'm really hoping we can make it into the parks on Monday, because in addition to that being our party day, it's also our Galaxy's Edge day and we managed to get reservations at the Cantina and for my husband to build his lightsaber.

When we were visiting back in early July, we had H2O Glow Night tickets and very surprisingly the event that night was cancelled due to lightning. Obviously there are more safety concerns when dealing with a water park and lightening but it was nonetheless disappointing. Our tickets were NOT refundable, however, we went to guest services and they gave us a Disney Gift Card with the same amount on it as I paid for the tickets. I can't imagine the MNNSHP tickets are refundable either?

Tickets are not refundable and in addition to party tickets we have the dessert party booked, I'm really hoping if they plan to cancel the announcement is made in time for me to cancel that.

I'm pretty sure I've heard in the past that if Disney truly cancels the party, they will either offer you a ticket for a different party or a refund, but you do have to go to Guest Services and actually ask for it to get one of those accommodations. But I've also heard that they don't really cancel the parties unless it really is a hurricane, so it seems likely we will just be very wet trick-or-treaters who may or may not get to see the parade or the fireworks.

While there is precedent for cancelling a party due to a hurricane, history suggests that Disney will wait until the absolute last second to do so - the point where forecasts are all but certain to have a material adverse impact on central Florida and guest safety. I think we’re a long way from that point at the moment.

Party tickets are non-refundable, but obviously refunds will be issued if the event were to be cancelled.

Disney also has a good track record of working with folks who opt to change plans due to weather concerns even if the event is not cancelled. This will likely be in the form of a gift card or exchange for another party night, but usually they’ll work with you to make things right given your circumstances.

Even if the party is not cancelled, I might just go ahead and switch ahead of time to be safe, we are there until late the following Monday so switching to the Sunday 9/8 party might be our best option-I'm going to have to have a talk with my family. Crowds on the following Friday or Sunday parties might be very bad if everyone were to do that.
