Does the Headless Horseman ride in the first and second parade? Are there any other differences in the parades?

We went to both parades on 9/15 and the headless horseman was at both. Both parades were exactly the same, although the 10:30 parade may have been less crowded. We watched in two different locations so that may have been why the 2nd one seemed less crowded.
