As promised-
-all non- wristband people were allowed to ride everything until 7 at which time we seen many being escorted toward the entrance.

-candy stations a little more spread out this year- but still lots of goodies.

-with no free photo now there are lots of great photo ops with different characters for you to purchase- like Jack Sparrow.

- if you want the free face painting in toon town get there early- the line for this was long

-the first parade was packed where 10 minutes before second parade was to start you could still get a great curb seat :confused3

-5-10- minutes for all rides

-not as many fall decorations as previous years

-the carriage for a photo op is now located past small world where the entrance to the "skyway" ride was located. Long line.

-can't think of much else any questions ask away.

Thanks!

Just wanted to make sure that they were escorted non-ticketed peeps out! :thumbsup2

That's too bad about the photo though.

Can't wait to get there!

Interesting. We didn't go this year but plan on going next.

Where many adults dressed up? and by dressed up I don't mean an orange T-Shirt.

Last year we made the mistake about leaving to get a seat for the last parade too late and it was packed...I was surprised.

I would say about 40% of adults were in full costume.

Thank you for the info.

Where party people still allowed in around 4PM. We where last year and it was great.

Thanks

Kim

On 9/29

I would add that I walked from Crystal Palace to the Stroller rental and back between 6:30 and 6:40 and the mass exodus was happening of the non party goers. Quite impressive.

We were in line for face painting in Adventureland at 6:40 with about 6 people in front of us. We were done (wife and daughter by 7:15).

At this point the exodus was still happening. My family chose to watch the first parade at the top of the circle by city hall. Traversing to that spot we went throught the stores on Main Street (Caseys to Emporium) as day guests were still leaving enmasse. We observed day guests not being allowed in the stores only folks with MNSSHP wristbands were allowed in, a day guest even commented to me in a good natured way as I left my family to check out the pins at exposition hall that she could not believe they would not even let her in the store. Also, when we were at our spot for the parade CM's asked everyone to raise their hands to check wristbands, and they were looking very carefully for non-MNSSHP folk.

Other comments:
We had no lines for candy after the fireworks at either treat trail, it was all walkthroughs with plenty of candy. Also I should point out that the Adventureland treat trail is air conditioned and at least 3 areas are set up for character encounters, much nicer than the Alice treat trail IMO which went on the outside of the indy speedway (Alice, Mad hatter, Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum , Queen of hearts left for Villians show just before we got there). At Adventureland on the treat line we got pictures with Timon, Orangatang from Jungle Book, Rafiki, Jane and Tarzan (there was an option to bypass the characters and go candy only). Also we did this line during the second parade so no waiting, in fact to get Timons autograph (he replaced Rafiki) we did the line twice and just walked through the whole thing again)

The Villain mix and mingle is a show put on by the villians in front of the castle after which they come down for autographs and pictures (it is a good 15 min show and quite enjoyable => not scary).

This statement was not true for seating around the hub on 9/29. Though it is true that a good standing location was possible at this location.

Yes, 4pm was the earliest time to enter the park. I was told this and we entered at 4:30pm and had ADR's at CP at 5:05pm.

This is our first time going to the MNSSHP and we are going on Halloween night. What types of candies or goodies do they hand out? What is the best type of treat bag to bring or do they supply them.
Thanks can't wait to go!!! :cloud9:

We're also going Halloween night. Our first MNSSHP and DD9, DD7 & DS4 can hardly wait. Any and all tips and pointers experienced MNSSHP'ers have would be welcomed.

They supply the treat bag for everyone in the party. It was a lot of fun. It was the first time I had Trick or Treated since I was a kid. The great part is no one looked at us grown-ups dressed in costume and getting Candy. The candy is regular Willy Wonka kind of candy. We just gave the candy to our kids. My eldest son, though, was surprised there were a few "nut" related ones in there.

We got a huge mix of candy. At each station they had a huge variety bucket. Everything from Twix, 3 Musketeers, Nerds, Laffy Taffy, rockets. I couldn't even begin to count the different kinds.
Bags are provided. I would not worry about getting candy first thing. We didn't start to collect candy until after Hallowishes and our bags were still heaping by the end of the night.

We had a good time at the MNSSHP this year as well. Got to see the headless horseman, but unfortunatley did not get a pic as he went by too fast. Got some nice pics of the parade to share later when I upload them. To our surprise this year three different candy stations where closed quite early. Last year when we went we where still getting candy at 11:59 pm. This year three stations were closed by 11:00 out of candy. All in all a good time was had and that was the most important thing.
