MNSSHP question

I understand I need a ticket for the event that will cost extra which I still haven't made a final decision on that yet but in my original plans we were going to go to MK on 9/01 then I realized they close at 4 for the Halloween party. Would it make more sense to go to say Animal Kingdom on that day since they close early and then head to MK at 6 when AK closes? Would I miss much of the MNSSHP by doing this? Also other than the decor, parade and special fireworks what else goes on for this party to make it worth the $260 its going to cost me? Do you think the park will be super busy that day on labor day?

Actually MK closes at 7pm for MNSSHP. You are allowed to enter for the party starting at 4pm, though it doesn't start until 7pm. If you are at AK for the day then come to MK for MNSSHP by 7pm you won't miss anything (except queuing up early for the Dwarfs and Captain Jack).

Regular guests can stay in MK until 7. Guests with MNSSHP tickets can enter at 3:45 or so. If you wait until 6:00, lines will have already formed for some of the rare characters. You should stay with your original plan of MK all day.
