Hi everybody. Just curious I noticed today on the Disney site they have MNSSHP on November 1st this year. I do not remember seeing this before when I looked and the Dis does not have it on the dates they have posted. Does anyone know if this was recently added or what the deal is. I am sure it was not on there before unless I overlooked it. Thank you :)

KathyRN137 (I think that is the number on her user ID?!!?) has a Pre-Trippie and this came up. She said that she called Disney and there IS a MNSSHP on Nov 1 this year.

It was on www.allears.net, which is where she saw it and she did confirm with Disney that it is correct!

I am sure we will have it updated here, too...I am sure with the upgrade and other things going on that they have not updated it yet. Plus, tickets don't go on sale till May 1. :)

Thank You. I actually called Disney before I seen your reply and yes indeed they did confirm it going on for the 1st of November :)

How much do tickets usually run for this? We are there Oct. 3-10 and I am thinking we need to go to this!

:)About $48 a ticket--worth every penny. You can see cost of last year's tickets on Allearsnet.com.

OK, my DH is questioning this...what makes it so great?? And would my DD3 be less?

Awesome fireworks, lower crowds, trick or treating, a great parade, and dance parties with the characters. It doesn't officially start until around 7pm but you can usually go on it around 4. It generally goes until midnight. Crowds were so low when we went last October that DH and I were able to ride Splash Mountain 3 times in a row without getting out around midnight. It was a lot of fun.

Has anyone ever gone after halloween is over? ie Nov 1st?

I'm just wondering if the crowds for that party might be better :confused3

Just wondering as I plan this Octobers trip.

It answer your burning question:

YES IT IS WORTH GOING TO!!!!!! :):lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:

I just kill me.

As soon as we get back after our trip this coming December, DH will be planning another trip next year for MNSSHP, we haven't tried it yet, that's why we are all excited for that. :cool1:

I am going in September and am VERY excited! I have never trick or treated before (its not big in the UK), so it will be great to have a go! :goodvibes

You will have a blast!

The parade and fireworks are wonderful, and the trick or treating around the park is so much fun as well as the MANY photo ops with characters ect.

Last year we made our own bags instead of using the ones that they hand you as you walk in. By the end of the night, it was actually hard to carry the bag beacuse it was so heavy with candy!

I don't believe there has ever been a party after the Oct. 31st party. So I'm not sure you will get specific info on that date... sorry!

IMO- this party is totally worth the price. I had so much fun! It's great to see all the guests in costume and the parade and fireworks are awesome!

Actually.. when we were there in 2007 they had a party on Nov 1st. We went on an earlier day that was sold out. I do know on Nov 1st that year earlier in day at MK you could still purchase tickets. Last yeat they did not have one on the 1st. I know not many nights sell out but I would think the 1st would have less of a crowd then the 30th or the 31st. :)

DO you know what kind of sweets/candy they give out? I am not a big fan of Hershey's chocolate, is there a lot of that? What else do they give out?

As I remember it, there wasn't a lot of brand name candy--certainly not Hershey Bars. I'd bet they will do even less this year, because of the economy and all.

I totally agree! ::yes:: The Halloween fireworks were the BEST fireworks we've EVER seen out of any of our Disney trips IMHO.

DBF and I went last year and LOVED it!
