DH & I might be going to MNSSHP on a Sunday in Sept. (either 9/17 or 9/25). Haven't been to one of the parties in a few years so here are my questions:

1. In case something falls through with the trip, I want to wait until the day before or day of to buy tickets. Have the Sunday parties in September been selling out?

2. Is there an upcharge or additional cost for buying tickets the day of the party? I know ticket prices vary based on party date but I feel like there used to be some extra fee for buying the day of...

3. Will we get hard tickets? If I buy the tickets online will they be linked to our Magic Bands on our accounts from our trip in January?

Thanks!

My experience with all parties is if they aren't sold out, they are by the time the party starts. Generally you can get them 1 or 2 days before for most days but the closer halloween you are, the less likely that is going to happen. Get them when you know you want to attend and the sooner the better. Waiting til closer or the day of and the chances of it being sold out are pretty high.

Your given the option. If you have magic bands there no reason to get the cards so if order on the website just pick will call. They should show up in your MDE right away after purchase and if not, just use the confirmation number to link them to your mde and then they will work with your magicband,

The cards are nothing special so your not missing out on a keep sake by not getting the cards.

Can't answer the first question, but:

3) If you buy online you will get both an e-ticket you can print out and have scanned at the park entrance, and if logged into your Disney account it should be linked automatically for your MagicBand (if not, it's as simple as linking it with the e-ticket number). IIRC when we purchased tickets from the front desk of our resort a few years ago they gave us a a ticket keycard each, much like what the room keys were like pre-MB, but I can't remember if that was due to a limitation with the MagicBand back then or if they still do it now.

Last year there were six September party days, the first being Tuesday 9/15/15. Both Tuesday parties sold out the day of the respective party. A Friday party sold out the preceding Wednesday and a Sunday party sold out the day before the party, leaving only two September parties that didn't sell out, Friday 9/18/15 and Sunday 9/20/15. The Halloween party, 10/31/15, was the only other party to sell out before October first.

This year, instead of six, there are eleven parties scheduled for September. No parties, not even 10/31/16, have reported sell-outs yet.

Past performance is no guarantee of future results. YMMV.
