MNSSHP Pin Question

We are going to the 2010 MNSSHP on October 26th which is one of the last days of the party. How do they sell the limited edition pins? Do they only put out a certain amount every night or do they put them all out on the first night? We are concerned since we are going so late that the pins will be all sold out if they put them all out on the first night.

At the ones we have attended, sometimes different pins are brought out in different places. And sometimes, some pins are only out on certain nights. Now, if they don't sell out, I am not sure if they are offered every night after the first time they are available or not. Wish they would advertise what pin would be available on which nights! I could plan my vacation around that!

Last year they sold all the pins on all the days at the earlier parties and by the time we arrived at the end of October, they only had 2 or 3 pins left. I was in line before 7:00pm so I know they started the night with that many. I was the 2nd or 3rd person in line to buy them.

When we last year for Christmas and arrived on 12/26, we were very disappointed in how Disney handled Christmas themed merchandise. Basically, we were told that all themed merchandise for 2009 Christmas, like the resort pins, shirts, etc, were clearanced out over 2 weeks earlier. I understand the need to keep merchandise fresh, but basically, all the stuff that someone coming for Christmas might expect was gone by the 15th. I really hope it is not that way for Halloween since there are festivities going on until 10/31

Last year, I went to MNSSHP in mid-October, and they were sold out of some pins. I assumed that they would divide them up over the number of nights the party was held, but apparently, they don't. They still had the logo pin, as well as a couple of others, but they were sold out of the Mickey, Minnie, and Tinkerbell pins. We checked every store in MK that sold them. Don't get me wrong, i got plenty of pins, just not necessarily the ones I planned to get!

Totally agree with Bella - last year was VERY disappointing for us. They sold out of the Mickey as a Vampire pin in early October and when we were there ON HALLOWEEN they had none left.

From what a CM told me was that 2009 was the 1st year when they did not space out the pins across all the nights and it was based on visitor feedback.

I only hope that they heard PLENTY of feedback this past year that what they did was stupid.

Still watching eBAY for my MICKEY Vampire pin.........
