MNSSHP Parking Question!

We are going to MNSSHP event tonight (yeah!) but we weren't able to get into a Disney hotel (cheapest one was $300 and not even at one of the hotels I haven't stayed at yet) so we are staying elsewhere....SO we won't have free parking.

Do they charge for special event parking (if so, how much does parking cost) or do they stop charging for parking at a certain time?

Just want to make sure I bring enough cash with me if we decide to park (since we are leaving straight from work!).

Parking is $12 per day and can be paid with a credit card. They do stop charging for parking around 1 or maybe 2 hours before park closing, but I'm guessing that you'll be there sooner than that for the party

Thanks for the quick reply. I was REALLY hoping that they stop charging after 6pm....the tickets are expensive to begin with...not sure if I can talk my husband into yet more money for the event!

Are you planning on going to any of the Disney Parks during that day? Once you pay for parking at one of the 4 parks, you can drive to any other park that same day, show them your parking receipt, and they won't charge you again.....

We didn't go to any other park that day and only went to MNSSHP, so we went ahead and headed to MK but were prepared to pay for parking. And YES we had to pay ($12). The CM confirmed that even annual passholders (who normally have free parking with their pass) have to pay!

But at least we were prepared.

I'm being droped off at the Grand Floridan Hotel and taking the Monirail to MK. The other half of the family will go to DTD.

This is allowed right?

I can't guarantee this will happen again, but when I arrived for MNSSHP on 9/26 at 7:30 pm, they were just waving everyone through. I had my AP ready to show them, but I didn't need to do so.
