MNSSHP or MVMCP??

I am trying to plan a trip to Disney for our family in October or December. Our kids are 8 years and 3 years old. We would like to plan our trip around either MNSSHP or MVMCP. We have not been to either one of these. Which one of these events would make our trip the most worthwhile? I'm sure both are wonderful, but is one a little better than the other??

If we go in December, it would be before the schools get out for break, so crowds shouldn't be a factor. However, would the weather be much better in October than December?? So many things to consider! Help! We don't go to Disney often, so I want to make the right decision. Thanks!

We have been to both... I would shoot for MVMCP... We enjoyed that much more... there is something special about WDW at Christmastime!!

We have been to both also (MNSSHP x3 & MVMCP x1). We are going to MVMCP this December. As far as the parties go we like the Halloween event just a little more. However you can not beat WDW at Christmas time. The whole of WDW is decorated for the holidays and it makes for a very special vacation. The Halloween party is nicely done and really puts you into the mood for that night. The weather during October is usally warmer than December (usally being the key word) however we have been in December when it was in the 80's all week.

Maybe we will see you there (12/5-12/14).

We've done both too!

We did MVMCP in 2000 and 2001 and the MNSSHP in 2002 and we've already planned MVMCP 2003 and MNSSHP 2004!!!!

We enjoyed them both but I'd say we prefer MVMCP and the Christmas time atmosphere everywhere at WDW!!

We missed being there at that time last year and that is why we planned MVMCP for this year and the reason we're doing MNSSHP again in 2004 is because our DD got sick Halloween night at MK. She was very upset by this and wants to experience Halloween again at WDW NOT sick.

I have a feeling (if I can still take my DDs out of school!!) we'll be switching back and forth every year!!

But I do prefer MVMCP even though the weather can be unpredicable.
