We are planning a trip for early Nov. this year and are trying to firm up the dates. The kids really want to do MNSSHP, but the only day we can do is OCT. 31. We attended 2 years ago on Oct 17 and had a fabulous time. Do any of you veterans out there have an opinion about braving it on Halloween night? It would actually be our first full day at WDW. Will we hate it because of crowds??

We went last year on Oct 31st--it's my birthday. I didn't feel the crowds were unmanageable at all-especially once you got past Main Street. I guess it depends on your focus. We rode most all the big rides without hardly any wait. We didn't do hardly any trick-or-treating or character greeting, so I can't speak to that. The parade & especially the storyteller in Liberty Square were awesome. This year we are going earlier & I can't wait to go back & experience the party a little earlier & less crowded, but I would still go back on the 31st if that was when my trip was planned for. :cool1:

We've done it twice now on Halloween night! Nothing like trick or treating and spending your Halloween at MK!

It was crowded and sold out BUT it was very manageable. It depends on where you are in the park too and YMMV, depending on where you are in the park and if you asked 10 different people who were there on the same night, you'd probably get a different answer.

It seemed crowded because everyone is walking around taking it all in but the ride lines weren't bad at all and we got a good spot in Liberty Square for the first parade and the trick or treat lines appeared long but went really fast.

All in all we had a blast and would do it again in a heartbeat!

we went last year right on Halloween night and had sooo much fun!! we got tons of candy at every stop and altho I didn't take many photos there were lots of characters about ! be sure to dress up and have a blast

We loved it!! Main Street seems to be the most crowded area. We never waited long for lines on the rides and we got our picture taken with no problem.

The first parade was packed, but the second one was easy to get a spot.We loved the Headless horseman running down Mainstreet USA!!

Like the others said it was sold out,but you could still get around ok. I do think if I went again I would try a party earlier in the month, but I am not sorry we spent Halloween night there! :rotfl:

The atmosphere is great! You can get there around 4:00 pm if you have party tickets and they will let you in early and put a bracelet on your arm. The most hectic part is everyone trying to leave the park around 6:00pm. We went to Toontown and hung out there till things got rolling.

Have fun! pirate:
