MNSSHP October 3rd

Anyone going to the MNSSHP on October 3rd? I just ordered our tickets tonight for it. This will be our 4th party and are really looking forward to it. I think it is the best event Disney has. Anyone thought of the costume they are going to wear? The first time I was too chicken to dress up. After that I was a doctor once and a mouseketeer the last time. So anyone else going?

We're going on the 3rd as well (although I haven't ordered tickets yet). My Dh, myself and our 3 children (8,6&4) will be there for our first ever trip, so the MNSSHP will be exciting for us.

I haven't even begun to think about costumes, but my dd is probably going to be Minnie Mouse, she recently inherited a costume which is adorable

My DD was Minnie last year. She was one of thousands I'm afraid! Minnie was very popular last year whereas I barely saw it the years before. DD, now 5 y/o and already on her 4th MNSSHP, decides her costume months in advance at the latest. When we were leaving the party last year she informed me that she was coming to WDW next year as Rapunzel. We didn't even have a trip planned yet but we do now! LOL! I just needed an excuse! So now I have to look for Rapunzel costumes and whatever that entails. I have no idea what I am going as but it will be nice and cool as it can get hot and miserable there at night.

Thanks for the tip on the Minnie's being everywhere....my dd wouldn't like being one of thousands! Perhaps I'll have her wear her Anne of Green Gables costume from this past Halloween that won her 1st prize at a Halloween party and have her keep the Minnie one for Halloween night.

I'm planning on going! It will be our first MNSSHP I haven't thought about costumes yet ... maybe a bunny

It will be me, DH, DD-7, and DD-4! This will be my 2 DD's first trip to WDW, and all of our first MNSSHP. We can't wait. The girls have decided to be "cheerleaders". (Thought that would make for cool, comfortable costumes that they can easily wear tennis shoes with). Not sure yet about me and DH. I was actually leaning towards wearing scrubs and being a Doctor. I still need to give it some thought!

We are going on to the Halloween Party on the 8th and I can't wait
We have never been to WDW before, but I've been to America at the end of October when I was very young and boy do they do Halloween. It's fantastic We just don't celebrate it that much in the UK - My DH is worried about getting dressed up, but I've explained to him that it's Disney and if he can't act like he's 5 in Disney then where can he????!!
In the UK it's mainly the kids that get dressed up and even then it "has" to be a witch or a ghost or something spooky, but in the states it's much more anything goes and that's just so much more fun. So I can't wait - I'm trying to persude him that we should go as a famous couple - So far it's thumbs up for Woody and Jessie from Toy Story, as we still have our cowboy hats from Buffalo Bills at Disneyland Paris 8 years ago !!!! Are there any photos on this site that show what other people have gone as? :thewave:

We are going on the 3rd, just me and my DH, this will be our secong MNSSHP!! We did not dress up last year but are planning to this time!! Haven't ordered the tickets yet will probably just get them when we check in!!!!

I just booked our trip and ordered our tickets today for 10/3!

I have no idea what to expect, but I got a PS for LTT for dinner that day too, so I guess we're all set!

We are also planning on being there Oct. 3rd.Last year was our first time going to MNSSHP and loved it. It will be my husbands first time going,(he couldn't make our WDW trip last year). Lets hope nothing happens and we get to go. I was waiting to order our tickets after we get our airfare, then, our travel dates are almost set in stone.We'll be staying at the Contemporary,with 2 rooms in the tower for us and our 3 daughters ( all adults).Its fun to see the look on the kids faces and all the different kinds of outfits.Hope everyone has a great time.

DH, I and a friend are going. It's a firsat for us all. I'm going as a dutch girl since I have this 150.00 Costume I had redone right before I moved, Friend going as Pluto or a spotted pup. Dh no idea.

We will be there the 3rd-Me, DH, DD (3), and MIL. This is our first MNSSHP and DD's first trip! We also have PS's at LTT.

We have no ideas for costumes yet.

DH, DS12 and I also have tickets for Oct3rd (staying at the VWL - first time "home")
Not sure if/what we're dressing up - may just be glow in the dark Disney Halloween shirts?

We will be there on the 3rd as well! I am as excited for this part of the trip the MOST! This will be our fourth fall trip in a row, but we've never been to the Halloween party! I love Halloween!

We have tossed around a few costume ideas...we're thinking that my girls (8 & 5) might want to be Lilo...anyway, that is THEIR plan! Ha!

I know based on other posts, to dress for HOT weather...so, I want them to have something cool & comfortable, but still look cute!

The cutest costumes they ever had was when they were 2 & 5...they won every contest they came in contact with! ha....

They were PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY!!! I used white shower curtains and cut them into "ponchos" which I then covered in felt to make A SMUCKER'S jar and a JIF jar...they wore white tights and white shirts under the "jar ponchos" and I must say, they were darned cute! I do not have a scanner or I'd post a pic!

So far the kids say they want to be Power Rangers but I'm sure they'll change their minds a million times before we leave.

I plan to be there on the 3rd. It will be my first time to the party. Probably will not dress up, except I do have a lot of Eeyore tshirts, caps and socks. That would be comfortable!!!

I am going solo---my third annual September/October two-week solo trip. I'm spending the two weeks at CSR. I try to do something different each time I do. This time it's the MNSSHP.
I hope to get reservations at LTT for the 3rd. Really looking forward to the Pinkbounc Hope to meet some of you there.

I may have to postpone my trip in a couple of weeks and am considering going the first week of October instead. We would definitely do the Halloween party. How exciting.

This would be our first trip to Disney, so how would the crowds be in October and for this event. The reason we are contemplating the change is cause DD 4 is mildly autistic and I think the heat and crowds of June may be way too overwhelming for her, so I am really leaning towards a change.
