MNSSHP: No FREE Photo

Hey Dan I know they are still listed with this years activities that came with our tickets.

Some of the letters listed the photo, but some didn't. :confused3

Ours didn't.

We're doing both MNSSHP & MVMCP, and neither letter listed the photo.

If I had a letter that listed the photo (mine doesn't) I would definitely bring it with me. If you have it in writing there is no way they can't give you the free photo!

I'll send off my e-mail today... don't know why The Mouse would go this route.... :sad2:

Well I just sent one and I was not quit as nice as some . I basically told them if it's policy to not be cleared then we would not be purchasing tickets and still attend.

We are still waiting for DD's calender for school to come out to get in a quick MNSSHP .

However we already have our tickets to MVMCP so thats a done deal .

Now on our JUNE trip on evening EMH I did see some CM asking guest both at rides and walking about their wristbands and stating that the park was open for just resort guest and could they please make their way to the exit.

So lets hope this will be changed or no-one will be paying $40 to $50 bucks each just to ride some rides with less lines.

Except that *everything* that the Mouse puts in writing also says "subject to change without notice." Even responses from Guest Communications say to check back right before your trip.

And they can say that all they want, but if you can argue that the changes they've made are substantive enough to argue reasonably that it impacts the likelihood you'd have purchased a ticket then you're still entitled to a refund. After all, if the "subject to change without notice" statement covered any amount of change they could just shorten the parties to a half hour of punch and cookies in the courtyard outside the turnstiles and then refuse to grant refunds. But they can't. They'd end up sued for refunds on every ticket they sold- it's bait and switch and you can't do it.

Now, I don't know that the photo is enough to demand a refund (it may be if you could persausively argue that the picture was a key factor in the purchase of your tickets)- but I'd say the fact that they're not forcing the day guests out of an event they describe as hard-ticket with limited number access IS certainly a big enough deal to demand a refund over.

I don't mind so much about the photo - it was a nice souvenir, but it's not a deal breaker for us. FWIW, I bet Disney paid little or nothing for the phot service. The photographer probably hoped to make money on the re orders. Maybe not enough guests ordered more copies and Disney couldn't get any other photograper to come in for free (or minimal $$). There probably aren't many photographers who can handle that large of an event.

I am having a hard time believing Disney isn't going to try to clear the park as it just doesn't make sense for them to handle the hard ticket events that way. I will be interested to see how Disney responds to the emails - those who sent inquiries, please post!

Thanks -

Im interested to see how this all turns out. I just bought tickets to the Pirates and Princess party and I will be FIRED UP if it turns out that non ticket holders will still be in park! Since this our first trip to WDW we of course have never been to the other Halloween and xmas party. :confused3

I just called the Disney Switchboard (407-824-4321) and asked for a supervisor. I spoke with Ginger. She works "on behalf" of the supervisors (whatever that means).

Anyway, this is what she said, "What you said is a rumor. You must have a wristband to stay in the park. Anyone without one will be asked to leave by security and/or a CM."

I then asked, "Well what if they just want to stay to watch the parade and/or the fireworks"? She responded, "Absolutely not. They must have a wristband." She did add that it is virtually impossible to make sure everyone has a wristband, but that security and the CM's watch for them.

We will see . . . :rolleyes1

Oh, she also said that the park is scheduled to close at 6:00pm to decorate, not 7:00pm as some have heard. Again, we will see. ;)

I just called and spoke with a CM. I asked if there were any changes to MNSSHP and MVMCP. He checked and said no. I then explained the concerns about the free photo no longer being offered and that guests would be allowed to stay in the park for the parade and fireworks without a wristband. The CM I spoke with called guest relations and they stated that this is just a rumor. He then checked with his supervisor who indicated the same thing. THIS IS JUST A RUMOR!!!! Folks may be confusing the photo pass with the free photo. The photo pass will be handled from home with a 50% discount. The CM commented that if Disney allowed people to stay in the parks without a wristbands they would not be selling any tickets. And then I got laughed at. :lmao:

What that basically means is that she is a Customer Service Representative with enough experience to handle Supervisor responsibilities. I used to be one of those for CitiBank Credit Cards. Whenever a customer asked for a Supervisor they were transferred to me. I could then handle pretty much anything that the customer needed.

Cool! Thanks! That's kinda what I thought, but was not really for sure. :thumbsup2

Let's just keep our fingers crossed. I have to agree with others, I'll be highly PO'ed if I spend >$100 for tickets to attend a "hard ticketed event" sponsored by Disney only to find that people without tickets are being allowed all the benefits we are except they can't ride the rides. :furious: :furious: I'm still mad!

Well, that's all hopeful news but why can't they explain why their 'official' hours state that they close at 7:00p. That is part of the reason we have this 'rumor'.

I'd love to know if 7:00p is correct or not and if it is correct, how they will clear the park then. :confused3
