Well here's the scoop.
MNSSHP 2005 sponsored by Goofy's Candy Company. I only say that because that was on all the balloon markers instead of a Mickey head and he was featured prominently in the parade.
We arrived at 4 pm and they were directing people arriving for the party to the left and day guests to the right. They only had 1 guard checking bags on the party side so we went through the other side.
The round up before the party (where you went from 6pm-7pm) was in Adventureland instead of Tomorrowland as in years past.
Closed attractions for the
Jungle Cruise
Timekeeper
Hall of Presidents (they were taking photos in the Lobby)
CoP
WDW RR
Everything else was open.
The rides were all a walk-on even though the boards stated anywhere from 5-20 minute waits. Maybe they were not changed from the day. No
FASTPASS for any attraction.
The HM had some nice mist effects and there was a woman on a bench in front of the ride; on the lawn; conversing with guests as they went by.
Characters:
There did not seem to be as many as there were last year. The Seven Dwarves were all together but no Snow White when we saw them and no Cinderella coach. They had a "Villains Mix and Mingle" in front of the castle. Tarzan was by the Jungle Cruise, Alladin and Jasmine were near the Magic Carpets, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger were in the new playspot and had the longest line to greet them. Donald was in Toontown and the walkway between Toontown and Tomorrowland had an "Alice in Wonderland" theme.
Cinderellabration
7:25pm and 8:40pm.
Parade:
8pm and 10pm
We did not see the Headless Horseman before the parade. We missed him. The Main Street Singers were in a double decker bus as it started. There were no Dalmations in the truck as in years past and Cruella walked with all the other villains. The only dog was with the Caretaker from the HM graveyard.
Fireworks:
9:15pm.
Hallowishes was
INCREDIBLE! I liked it better than the regular "Wishes". They had shells that exploded and made pumpkin faces in the sky! Featured music was Grim Grinning Ghosts, Scar (Be Prepared), Ursulla (Poor Unfortunate Souls), and various selections from "Nightmare Before Christmas". The "Oogie Boogie Song" is my personal favorite. There was no witch riding on a broom as in years past. Maybe she was just not available this evening.
Theming of the Park:
Maybe it's me, but the lighting and overall effects seemed
way less than last year. I remember being impressed by the fact that every tree seemed to be lit last year and this year it was almost non-existent.
I will post the map and pictures later on but it is too late to do it right now.
