Need some planning advice everyone. I'm between decisions for my MNSSHP day for lunch and dinner. Im attaching a pic of my itinerary to refer to. We have ADR's for Chef Mickey's at 8:35AM but until the Halloween party its free time. I'm not sure whether to wait and do a late lunch around 3ish and then wing dinner for the rest of the night OR like planned keep lunch around noon and then have dinner around 4 in MK. If we did the late lunch then we could utilize the early entry but at some point we would need to eat during the night. What do you guys think, late lunch or keep as planned? feb 15.jpg

Personally I would keep it the way you have it planned. We also plan on eating our dinner early at the MK on party night. I would not want to waste party time eating dinner. And we plan on lining up early for our top priority meet and greet before the party starts, so we really would not have time to eat after 5pm as we will be busy.
I think your plans look really good. :)

I just have to say that the Type A person in me LOVES how you have your itinerary set up! I might have to use this!

We are also planning a relaxing day on our MNSSHP night. My plan is to eat a quick service around 5:00'ish to give us enough time to eat and get a few things done before the actual party.

Given the early morning start I definitely wouldn't plan on anything in the middle of the day, so I would keep it as is.

Just a heads up though; although not official I guess until the first party, Disney's site is showing the first parade at 8:35 and Hallowishes at 10pm (Celebrate the Magic at 9:45)

I was about to chime in that the times have changed

I thought they didn't do the Villains Mix & Mingle anymore?
It's been replaced this year with the Hocus Pocus Villains Spectacular, which sounds like it's a stage show, but might not include a Meet & Greet at the end (like the old show did). In the Parks Blog post, one of the comments asked about meeting villains and the answer was that there would be villains appearing throughout the park, but the Sanderson sisters would not be available for M&Gs. So this would indicate that they (at least) wouldn't be meeting guests after the show.

In terms of meal timing...I would also keep the schedule the way it is. If you get hungry during the party, there are usually places to grab a snack. Not everything stays open throughout the party, but there should be some places where you can grab a snack (not necessarily a meal).

I like the Disney font!

The times have been pushed back. First parade now starts at 8:35 pm and Hallowishes is now at 10 pm. That has put me in a bit of a pickle because I got a 4:10 ADR and I'm now thinking it is too early vis a vis how late the main events are.

We are doing brunch that day so we have 1900 park far at 10:00 AM - and we plan to eat, then roam GF, then ride the boat or monorail around for awhile, and grab a QS when we get to the park for dinner and just snack that night :)

HAHA!

That was ME!

Thank you everyone for the advice and compliments. So i've noted they pushed the parade and hallowishes, do we know if that will pertain to Hocus Pocus Villians Spectacular that replaced villians mingle? I have it scheduled at 8:55PM right now but if they pushed back the celebrate the magic and hallowishes wondering if they did the same for spectacular?

We have a similar plan with Ohana at 8am then nothing planned all day and a BOG dinner at 4:55. We plan nap time in the late afternoon so we can make it through out the night.

I'm not so much in for character meets at MNSSHP as I am for the shows/parades/fireworks and ride access, so I'll be going to the park around 1 (I'll have an AP) and I have a 6:40 reservation for BoG. Even if I take over an hour for dinner (and my tasty, tasty wine), I won't miss anything that I bought the party ticket for!

I'll only give up the BoG ressie if - for some reason - it conflicts with a potential in-party event, like last year's Sinister Soiree.

If you're planning to eat at MK, be sure you look at the maps from last year and make decisions. It looks like other than the turkey leg cart, churro cart and Cosmic Ray's, the limited food options closed by 8 or 9, and DEFINITELY by 10.

That said - I'm going solo, so I can be as picky about stuff as I want to be. :D

We ate at Kona around 3, and then grabbed something at Casey's at the tail end of the party. It worked out well for us.

Hopefully it will be presented several times during the party so that you will be able to fit it in. The Villains Mix and Mingle was performed 4 times during the evening so if 8:55 doesn't work, hopefully one of the other times will.

Also, even though you have a FP+ for the HM earlier in the evening it's worth going to during the party. The Southern Belle sitting outside chatting with the guests in line is worth seeing.

I have a 3 pm FP+ for HM on our MNSSHP day and trying to decide if I do want to see it again. Do you have to be in line to talk to the southern Belle? And is there anything else that's just for the parties at HM? How about the "magical shots" - is that something that we need to be in the HM line?

This will be my first year at MNSSHP and my plan is to have an early lunch at DD at Wolfgang Puck Express then enter MK at 4pm and try for an early QS dinner before 4:30pm at Columbia Harbour House or Cosmic Rays. Then off to ride some FPs. I don't want to spend my time at a TS restaurant during party hours. However, I have also heard that many people have the same plan so the lines at the QS places can become huge. I'm hoping that a very early dinner before 5pm will help me avoid this so that I have as much time to play with during the party as I want. If I run into lines even at that early hour, I'll just snack for the evening as I'm one adult.

This is our first year attending the Halloween Party (and on Halloween) and our plan is a late lunch. We have lunch reservations for 3:15 at The Plaza. The only thing I would change on your itinerary is to cancel breakfast or schedule it later in the morning. We plan on staying at the party until midnight so will be sleeping in that morning. If you are getting up at 6 a.m. you are looking at an 18+ hour day if you stay for the entire party. That would be too much for us. I'll probably schedule FP+ for ToT and Rock n Roller Coaster for later in the morning that day, hang out at the resort (staying at Yacht Club) until about 2 then head over to MK.

The Southern Belle sits on the lawn adjacent to the queue and talks with people in the lawn as they pass by her spot so you do have to be in the queue. Also, many of the CMs wear more ghoulish makeup and some get into character even more than usual, but you will probably see many of them at 3 PM.

I think the HM Magic shot spot was in the open area kind of across from the pet cemetery, but I can't remember for certain. You didn't have to go on the attraction, but there is often a line for the magic shot.
