MNSSHP & Jack Skellington?

Last time I went to MNSSHP it was in 2000. From just looking at the online pics - it's even more decorated and Halloween'd then before!

My question is this - are they any Jack Skellington (Nightmare Before xMas) displays, decorations, extra things to buy at the MNSSHP?

My fiance is a HUGE Jack-Man - and this will be his first MNSSHP and it'd be soooo cool to have a little extra Jack Magic happening.

I dont remember if they had any Jack stuff in 2000 and before... I never was looking for it.

I don't remember seeing Jack at MNSSHP, my kids love him too.

Nope, no NBC stuff, no Jack stuff other than the usual that's in the Villain store in MGM.

If he's really into Jack and NBC, you guys need to go to Disneyland where they decorate the Haunted Mansion in a NBC overlay, complete with Jack, Oogie Boogie, the Mayor, Sally, etc. I've never been and that's one of my have-to-do-before-I-die items. Before you enter The Haunted Mansion there is a store that specializes in Nighmare Before Christmas merchandise.

They play a lot of NBX music during MNSSHP and during the fireworks last year. Like they would be playing the Oogie Boogie song and have green eyes projected on the castle.

I was quite disappointed that Jack wasn't even in the parade. They have music from NBC and Oogie Boogie is a part of Hallowishes, but no Jack!! OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

The reason Disney doesn't use and promote characters from Nightmare is due to the fact they don't own the rights. They have to pay a large royality. That is why they are trying to point people in the pirate direction when it comes to Halloween. They make more money.

We didn't notice any additional merchandise, but they had a nice selection of Jack stuff at the Pirates gift shop. If you purchase any clothing be sure to try it on before you leave to go back home - it fits funny. I had to return some of the things I bought because they were cut so strange.

They have a good deal of NBC (hats, bags, shirts, plush, CDs, DVDs, etc) stuff at Madame Leota's cart and another store, both right outside the Haunted Mansion. There is more scattered around the park in various stores I think. As for why they aren't in the parade, not sure, maybe they will be this year, who knows. They certanily own the rights to NBC (it's Tim Burton who had to come back to Disney to make the movie since he developed the characters while working there). Maybe sometime soon they will give the Haunted Mansion at WDW the same NBC treatment the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland gets!

I heard on a Podcast that they were looking into doing an overlay of MGM as NBC .That was last year around Nov. and have heard nothing since.
