We have never gone before and it seems a little expensive . What am I getting - besides a lot of candy that my DS6 really doesn't need!!! I know there are parades and special fireworks, but what else. Have the times been posted yet? Our DS6 is usually in bed by 8:30 - because he gets up so darn early - 6-6:30! I don't want a meltdown or miss anything if we paid for it. Help!!!!

I think it is worth the price, unless you are going on Sept 22nd. It won't be worth it on that day....

Its worth it unless your on an extremely tight budget... but otherwise it's great! :thumbsup2

It's 100% worth it!!!!
I never been to MNSSHP until last year and I would have paid $100 to go if I had to! It was awesome!!! The parade, the hollowishes fireworks! The lines for the rides were not bad at all! It was the best thing about our trip!
We'll be there again on Oct 2nd this year!

I agree, if your budget allows, it is so worth it with the younger kids. OUr girls are 9 & 11 and are looking forward to doing it again on October 5th

I simply can not wait until we are there next month on the 29th through the 3rd of Oct. :thumbsup2

Have a disney day

:cool1:

MNSSHP is so much fun!!! However, don't go expecting an empty park. In fact, I wouldn't go with plans to ride all that much. Instead, make time for all the special happenings: storytellers in front of the Haunted Mansion, free face painting in Toon Town, really cool parade, etc. Also, be sure to dress for the event. Only our kids did last year, and dh and I were sorry we hadn't taken the time to get some costumes together for ourselves.

I wrote a reply to you on the other thread where you asked the same question so in case you haven't read it, I'll post it here too!

I have taken my children (they were 4 & 1) at the time. My son is also and early riser no matter what time he goes to bed he is up at 6:45 every morning! He was a trooper at MNSSHP though. We had ZERO problems with him staying awake, no melt downs, and he had a great time. He conked out on the car ride back to our resort (we were staying off site at the time). I think that the next morning he slept in until about 7:30. My daughter had an absolute blast. We had a stroller for her when she got tired and took breaks for the both of them often. I think that part of the key to this was that we didn't do anything except for go to thepool the day of the party.

We were lucky to be able to virtually walk onto every ride and get all that we wanted to get done and be back in our room by 11pm.

The "worth it" part really only for you to figure out. For us it was worth it because we got to see all of the characters in one night. They were all out and about. I have never seen that many characters out at MK at once. We got to see MK all decorated up for Halloween. We got to see a different parade that the general public doesn't get to see. We got to trick o' treat at MK. We got to ride the popular rides with little to no wait. We ate a LTT where the characters are dressed in costume. Watching my son and daughter dance multiple dances with Chip, Dale, and Pluto was priceless.

BTW, we are taking the kids back again this year dd will be 6 and ds will be 3. We all can't wait!

Its definitely something that the kids would have to be interested in.

Basically they give you a little bag that you can run around and get candy from one designated area in the park and theres also a parade. The other big draw for this used to be that you also had alot of the park to yourself because there was an extra cost involved. But now with EMH, you basically get that day minus the candy and parade.

I'd say if your kids wanna dress up and collect candy and see a parade, then its 100% worth it.

But if your not gonna be dressing up and getting candy, then your basically paying all that extra money to see a parade due to the fact that the MK will have atleast one night dedicated to EMH while your there.
