Hi
we are going to MNSSHP on Oct 17, and we are SOOOOOOOO excited. This will be our only time at MK so we need to fit in some rides. I have a "tenative" schedule, can someone take a look and let me know what you think?
We will arrive at 4Pm and get in some fantasyland rides, then dinner at CP at 5:25. After dinner off to Tomorrowland, for some candy, Buzz ride, Space Mountain for the older kids, TTA for the young ones. Then onto Toontown for LOTS of candy and characters. We want to see the villians show so do this at 9PM then wait for Hallowishes(9;30), then off to Haunted Mansion and maybe another ride, then find a good spot for the parade(10:30) somewhere between frontier and adventureland. After the parade finish off with POTC, SM, BTMRR and more candy? We will have a big group and some little ones that may sleep or go back to the hotel, but DH, DD, Ds and I will be staying until the end.

thanks for any advice

i think it will have a lot to do with how the weather is and how many characters/which ones you want to see as most of them had a good 15-20 min wait last friday night at the party. The candy lines went fairly quickly and most rides didn't have more than a 10 min wait (but I didn't go on the more popular ones so they might be longer). I think your schedule is pretty tight but you may be able to hit all the highlights.

I plan trips to Disney World for people everyday. I must say you've done a thorough job planning your day. However, as the OP stated, you've jammed a great deal into a short night. Here are just a few alternatives to consider:

Forego the ADR at Crystal Palace. You'll have to allow at least 90 minutes for that. See if you can change that ADR to a breakfast if you're on the dining plan.

If you have some that don't want to go to the Haunted Mansion, have them park your strollers in front of the Hall of Presidents to mark your spot.

If your kids will tolerate it, save Fantasyland for later in the evening. Lines will be MUCH shorter.

Consider this itinerary:
Enter at 4:00 and go to Adventureland area for POTC, JC, Aladdin, and possibly Haunted Mansion
At about 5:00, head over to Tomorrowland and spend an hour or so riding.
At 6:00-6:15, go into Cosmic Rays for dinner. It shouldn't be too crowded at this time.
When you're done, it will be time for the party to start. There is a candy station right outside Cosmic Rays and the Carousel of Progress.
Next go over to TOONTOWN and spend 45 min-1hour
Around 8:00 hit Frontierland
9:00 villans show
9:30 Hallowishes
Directly after parade, park yourselves in front of the Hall of Presidents, get a snack, and take a rest.
After parade, spend the rest of your time in Fantasyland.
End your evening by going through the Alice in Wonderland candy trail.

A piece of advice from a mother of three.....try to take it easy the day of the party if you can. Just reverse the kids' schedule....rest in the early afternoon.....party all night.

I hope this gives you some ideas and helps a little.
