MNSSHP: Is separate admission required?

I know hard tickets are sold for this event, but do the tickets themselves act as admission, or do you need separate park admission, (ie, hopper pass, single day admission or AP) to enter MK when the party starts?

Another words, is it like E Nights. E Nights sells tickets, but it still requires park admission for that day as well.

Thanks,
Diznee25

Nope! Like MVMCP...ya jurst buy your ticket for admission to MNSSHP...and that's all yer kneed! Except of...for the spirit of the event! ;)

Have A Great Visit! :)

All hard ticketed events by definition include park admission. No other admission media is required.

Definition - Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party.

You won't need separate admission unless you plan on going into the park before the party actually begins.

Thanks
Not of use to me as I don't think Halloween is in June this year.

I have read on this board (no personal experience, though) that in past years they have let people in beginning after 4:00 with just the MNSSHP tickets. Here's hoping that holds true for this year. We will try to get PS for CP or LTT at 4 or 4:30, then stay in the park for the party. Can't wait for those dates!

I'm sure you are probably aware of this but it bears repeating. In dealing with all things Disney, past performance is not an indication of what will happen in the future. Make sure you have a Plan B just in case.

Last year I entered the park for MVMCP at 4:00 sharp with only my MVMCP ticket. No questions asked.

I think it was 6:00 when the CMs began asking everyone with a "party bracelet" to move to Tomorrowland and wait there until 7:00, so all other guests could leave the park and they could set-up for the party.

I assume they use the same proceedure for MNSSHP.

Just curious, at what point did you get your bracelet? Was it as soon as you entered the park, or some time later?

You TRADE your ticket for the wristband at the gate when entering.
A lady in front of me held up the line complaining she wanted the ticket as a keepsake...but she lost the battle.

I've been to both MNSSHP in 2001 and MVMCP in 2002. At both parties, I was given a bracelet upon park entry. I just inserted my ticket into the turnstile reader and picked it up on the othe side, just like a normal parkhopper.

Both years my "special party" tickets looked identical to a parkhopper, thick paper with disney character on the front and magnetic strip on the back. The event name is printed on the back of the card where "5 day park hopper" or whatever normally appears. Both years I picked up my tickets at guest relations outside the Magic Kingdom gates.

However, it is my understanding that if you are already in the park (before 4:00) a castmember will direct guests who are staying for the party to Tomorrowland where you can show your ticket and get a wristband.

It's a pretty smooth process, Disney seems to have it figured out. ;)

the companies' SOP's would never allow for this to be agreed with.

the 'reality' is however...that you would likely be allowed admission...sometime after 4pm with your MNSSHP hard ticket alone...the "issue" is how long beffore....I'd guess that you could comfortably (read safely) gain park admission 1 hour before with a hard ticketed ticket....be it Halloween or Christmas....or any such event....just my HO....based on 'alot' of exprience.

Hope this helps ya! :):):)

We paid for the MNSSHP before we arrived online and saved some money vs. getting it at the park. We had nice 'credit card' like cards and we were allowed to keep them. My kids love them to this day, and say they are their mickey credit cards.

Can anyone tel me how much it will cost for the tickets and where I should be checking to see if dates have been released and to order online? I'm sure this has been covered already but I can't find it anywhere! Sorry!

I figure it's too early for 2003 MNSSHP dates but does anyone know where we can find the 2002 dates?

Would this be an ok plan B? We get there around 4 and they won't let us in. Can we get on a monorail and look at a resort? If yes, which would recommend? We are staying off site.:bounce:

That sounds like a good plan to me. Personally, I think checking out the different resorts is one of the best parts about a WDW trip! I would do that regardless of whether or not they let you in the MNSSHP early. The Polynesian would be my first choice to visit, followed by the Grand Floridian. You will see some of The Contemporary while you ride the monorail, as it passes through it. If you have a chance, try to go look at The Wilderness Lodge, and The Animal Kingdom Lodge. You will need a car or bus for those two, but you will NOT be dissapointed.

Have fun.....
