Last night, I went to MNSSHP for the first time. Oh man, what an incredible night- I loved it!! I went with my boyfriend Chris and our friend Teresa. Teresa was dressed as a goddess, Chris had a Patriots football jersey (we made him buy a funny hat too) and I was Alice in Wonderland. (We've gotta do corresponding costumes next year.) There were so many great costumes- the highlight had to be the trio dressed as the hitchhiking ghosts from the Haunted Mansion! We asked them to pose for a picture for us and they did the whole thumbing for a ride thing. Too funny! Besides the plithora of princesses, we saw Hogwarts girls, a couple of Harry Potters, a Flintstone family, a Peter pan family, another older Alice, Lucille Ball, donkey bride and groom, variations on Cruella, families of dalmations, and more. Everyone kept looking at each other and pointing. hehehe
Although I was disappointed we missed the storytelling stuff, we hit every trick or treat station (it was funny to see the reactions of people I knew from work), had lots of character interactions, and caught the parade (wonderful!) and fireworks. People loved my costume! I had a guy ask me directions thinking I was the real Alice. I'd have to say that the highlight of the whole evening was actually running into the real Alice.
She was dancing along our side of the parade route and spotted me. We posed for a picture, and then she handed me her masquerade mask and let me skip around with it for a moment!
I've always wanted to wear a costume while playing at WDW!! I had so much fun I didn't want the night to end despite tired feet. Ever get feelings of immense saddness when something so terrific comes to an end? I almost wanted to cry when I got home.
