MNSSHP In 2015 - What To Expect

When will official information about MNSSHP released? Dates, ticket prices, etc. I couldn't recall what time of year that normally comes out.

Officially, dates are released around May 1, when tickets go on sale. Unofficially, you can see the Sept dates now on the Sept calendar, and Oct should be released in the next 2-3 weeks.

Dates are typically announced in late April, with tickets going on sale in early May, but I don't know if prices are released when the dates are or if you have to wait until they go on sale. However, the September calendar is already out, so any day showing a 7:00 close at MK should be a party date, with the exception of Sept 11 and 12, which are for Night of Joy, and the October calendar should be out by mid-March.

We went on October last year and it was pretty busy compared to prior years. We heard that they had a big convention the week we were there so maybe that was it. Honestly, we got to walk on just about everything except 7DMT. We waiting 45 minutes to ride, but that's what DD wanted. We goto the parties for the atmosphere, fireworks, parade and fun. Even when it is busy, it's worth the price of admission.

Don't even get me started on Villians Unleashed. While it was something we are still glad we did once, there is no way I would pay that kind of money for 2 hour lines to meet characters. What made it worse was that it was the same night as EMH at MK and we missed out on one of our favorite activities. I'm not sure what they expected, but they would be crazy not to have an annual Villains party. Will always be packed and a big money maker. We would not attend again, but I bet it will always sell out.

The biggest key to enjoying the hard-ticket parties is avoiding Main Street like the plague. People are jammed in wall-to-wall from before the party started, right through the fireworks. Fantasyland can also feel especially jammed early in the evening.

It also helps to go in with reasonable expectations. Pick your top three things you'd like to accomplish and let everything else you do that night be gravy.

Yes, the party is expensive. But for me, the character interactions, atmosphere, parade and fireworks make it totally worth it. My DH and I are even planning to attend two MNSSHP this year because there's just so much to do!

I agree 100%! We have been to about 5 parties (usually Halloween night) and this area is so crowded. I was a little worried about the little kids crossing over the bridge after Hallowishes. But there is no place else we would rather be! Its so much fun dressing up in costumes, seeing parade and Hallowishes(which is my favorite) I would suggest if anyone wants to go Oct 31 or Oct 30 to get tix as soon as they go onsale as they do sell out. We already booked our trip for that week!

From what I have seen and read around, they usually release the dates end of April / beginning of May
