MNSSHP - Here's What Happens!

Awesome pic, mikayla! Where did you take it?

It was at the HM. It was great. The ride is the same, but they add extra effects and the CM's are all done up too. Plus there's the lady on the bench talking with the people in line.

These are the shirts for available at the party...

These are so cute! Do you remember noticing how much they cost?

Any recommendations on which Villian show to go to? I really want to see the Villians and get a some pictures. Can someone tell me which Villians are in the show and do you think the last show will be the least crowded??? TIA! :goodvibes

We were just at the 10/7 party. The villans were: Maleficient, the Wicked Queen, Cruella, Frollo, Jafar, Hook, and Queen of Hearts. If you want pics with all of them you're going to need to go to more than one show. We went to the last show and only got pics with Jafar, Frollo and Maleficient. The lines form very, very quickly and they only stay out for 15min. I know Jafar was in the middle then Cruella, Hook and Maleficient going to the right. I'm not sure exactly what order the rest were to his left, I think it was Frollo, then Wicked Queen and Queen of Hearts on the end but I'm not exactly sure.

Have a great time!

We were at the party on 10/13 and I'd love to hear of others experiences that night. It was a lot of fun but really crowded! I would not want to be there on a sold out night. Our focus was characters (if we were able to find a not too long line), the parade, Hallowishes and rides. The headless horseman was only at the late parade due to rain earlier. The parade was awesome and after seeing the 2nd one I wished we had gone to both. The lines for rides were really long. After the 2nd parade the line for Peter Pan was about an hour long so definitely not the "walk on" experience found at parties earlier in the month. I heard from someone else that the ride lines went down a lot in the last hour. We didn't get a lot of candy but didn't really try to either. Never saw anyone giving out Ghiradelli bars. Also seeing Snow White & 7 Dwarfs was one of our goals and we checked several times in Fantasyland for them. Never found them out and CMs weren't able to tell us when or if they would be out at all. It was still really fun and I'm glad we went! :goodvibes

We went to the party on the 4th. It was more crowded than previous years. Our concentration was the rides and candy. We did experience some wait times and even skipped a few because of the wait times. The parade and fireworks were great.

I thought I'd read that the party on the 13th was sold out, no? I could be wrong but thought I'd read that.

We went on the 7th and it wasn't too bad. Saw the 2nd parade and wished we'd seen both - it was great. Saw the fireworks too. Hit many of the ToT spots with little wait. Didn't get a photo with SW and dwarfs, we checked twice and the line was longer than we wanted to wait in. We had a blast and the kids are trying every way possible to figure out how we can go again next year, lol.

We were there on the 9th. We had to deal with pouring down rain, so it cut into what we actually got done. Many rides were walk on. We had hoped to get some pictures, but it wasn't a big deal if we didn't. Candy was a plus also.

We did Thunder Mountain 3x in a row, some with more rain then others. (note: ponchos are worthless on that ride! LOL) Ghost Lady at Haunted Mansion, was standing under the covering at the exit talking to people. Too crowded to get a picture. CM's were trying to get everyone to walk out into the rain.

We were getting off TM when they were starting the first parade, which I think ran late due to the pouring rain. We had planned on hitting the 2nd parade, so I wasn't watching the time. As it was, we were able to get a good spot and see the parade as they started. Didn't see the headless horseman, but not sure if he was not there due to rain, or we arrived after him. Jack was in the parade. Later in evening, happened to be in the right spot (trying to get out of 2nd parade area, since we had seen #1) and saw the headless horseman ride by. Missed a picture, but it was so cool to see him.

Most candy spots were moving quickly, with little waits. It amazed me how many people just held their bag open and didn't say anything, not even thank you. Bags are small, a little larger than a lunch paper bag. No full size candy, mostly basic stuff, nothing special. DD thought she had hit jackpot when she got a small bag of M&M's. I chose not to get any.

We tried to hit Stitch's party, but opted to wait to see Mickey/Minnie. Then went looking for Cinderella's carriage, but stumbled on short line for princesses. Decided to go in there, since dd had never "met" Cinderella before on other visits. We were the almost the last bunch they let in for the night. Waited maybe 30 mins.

Overall, we enjoyed it and almost went back on the 13th. Decided not to due to more rain and worried about crowds.

Note: if you want a t-shirt from the party, they are usually only sold during the party. Buy it early. I had waited and almost didn't get the size I wanted. Thankfully, the CM went in the back and found it. He said I would have brought my ticket and had them look for it later in the week had he not found it. It's not so much an issue of them selling out of them, just they run out of what they have on the floor.

Also, MK lockers were $5.00, plus a $5.00 refundable deposit. This was during the day, not MNSSHP.

Hmm, don't know! I would like to know if it was! We were on the Jungle Cruise before the party started and the driver mentioned if anyone wanted tickets to the party to stop at Guest Services but then again maybe he wouldn't have known if it was sold out.

Here's a link to one thread where someone said they heard the announcement that the party on the 13th was sold out. I know there was another thread I saw that someone posted they called WDW and was told it was indeed a sell out.

That was the day a lot of schools (around here anyway) were closed for Columbus Day weekend, so I'm not surprised it was sold out since it was a long weekend for lots of people.

Whenever possible, we try to avoid WDW on school holidays and had a great experience at the party on Thursday 10/2. Our intended must-do's (in order) were BOTH parades since it's our favorite, fireworks, rides, characters, and trick or treat stations.
We got there around 4:30 and hit some rides in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland first. Then we went to our 6:15 Tony's ADR and were out of there right about 7:00, give or take 10 minutes. We went straight over to Adventureland, did some rides, and found a spot for the 8:00 parade. After the parade we went up into Frontierland for BTMRR, then hit the characters in Adventureland before finding a spot for fireworks. In between we hit the trick or treat stations that were on the way, stopping only at the ones we passed and not specifically looking for them.
We ended up skipping a lot of characters - my son and husband were not the least bit interested in any of the Alice in Wonderland characters and could care less that Snow White is only with the 7 Dwarfs on special occasions. The line for Mickey and Minnie were the only lines that I would consider "long" the whole night, so we ended up skipping them too. My son's reply was "we had breakfast with them the other day can't we just ride Barnstormer again??" Who am I to argue with 5 year old logic that will get me out of a 40 minute line! End result - the only characters we met were Buzz, Aladdin and Jasmine, and Abu and Genie. Which was fine with us.

We saw the second parade too, and at that point my son was exhausted, so we followed it down Main street and out of the park. I have to say that Main Street was virtually EMPTY at that point, so for crowd avoidance it absolutely is MUCH LESS crowded than the first parade.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the Halloween Party and specifically planned out trip to make sure we could attend. My ONLY disappointment was that the fireworks are shorter than they used to be. I realized it because we have the CD with the music which my son listens to almost daily, and there were a few sections missing. However, the fireworks were still very good and if you are not subject to the soundtrack on a daily basis like I am, you probably wouldn't even notice the difference.

My husband is on a "we're not going back for quite some time" kick, but he says that after every trip and we've still managed to go 7 times in less than 4 years. Our next trip will definitely be scheduled during a time we can attend MNSSHP. (and F&WF at Epcot, but that's another thread!)

The 13th MNSSHP was sold out. I was telling one of the CMs at guest services at AKL how dang crowded the party on the 13th was, and she said it was indeed a sell out. So we ended up going on the 16th too so we could do everything we didn't get done on the 13th! We'll never do Columbus Day week again. It was way too crowded for my comfort level.

We did enjoy everything at MNSSHP. Especially the parade! It's AWESOME!!! I was not really into Hallowishes. I'd pick regular Wishes over Hallowishes any day! Actually the PPP fireworks blow Hallowishes away (no pun intended!). We ended up skipping them the 2nd time we went to MNSSHP and opted to ride BTMRR twice in a row instead. However Hallowishes was going on while we were on BTMRR which was SO COOL!

Although I LOVE the Halloween party, I do have to agree with you 100% about the PPP fireworks. They were absolutely amazing! I really wish they would incorporate some of those cool castle things into some of the other fireworks shows. But as much as I loved the fireworks, the PPP parade bored me to tears...maybe it's because I have a boy, so we're not tuned into princess things :confused3

We have never been...Wondering about Photopass and the special pictures (Snow White and the 7 Dwarves) Are the Photopass people around these areas to take photos or are you on your own? Wondering particularly about Cinderella'a Coach.
Thanks,
Dana:goodvibes

When we went (10/9) there was a photographer with Mickey & Minnie, Jasmine & Alladin, and Cinderella & Auroa and their princes. I never did find Cinderella's coach.

Those were the only characters we stopped for, but they all had the photgraphers.

Does anyone have an extra program that they hand out at the Halloween party I was there two weeks ago and promised a dear friend I would get him one and it accientally got misplaced. Anyone have one they could send him or scan in for him to see??

cinderella's coach (between haunted mansion and small world) has a photographer

there's also a photographer in front of the haunted mansion

.

Hi,

no photopass with SW and the dwarves...they really rush you thru that and I think it would take too long (they would totally make a killing with sales of that pic though...:confused3 )
